UNICORN IN BIBLE PROPHECY?! Yep, you read that right. A unicorn is a symbol in Bible prophecy! But not the one you think. In the book of Daniel, it is a one horned goat, which is technically a unicorn. The goat had one horned between his eyes (like the horse we love!). The goat battle a ram with two horns, one horn lower than the other. The horns were broken off, but so wad the goat's horn (so he's no longer a unicorn.) In its place grew four horns. The unicorn goat symbolizes the Grecian Empire, and the one horn symbolizes Alexander the Great. The Ram is the Persian Empire. Greece defeated Persia.

The word unicorn means one horn, and that includes the narwhal, unicorn of the sea. The horn is not a real horn, but a tusk, a specialized tooth.
Whatever the Biblical unicorn was, we don't know, but it's nice to think it has somewhat similar to the horse with the horn we love.
The Hebrew word for unicorn in the Bible is Re'em. It is unknown what animal it is but it could have been a cow, an antelope, or most likely a rhinoceros. In fact the modern unicorn was probably inspired by the Indian rhinoceros. A Greek historian, Ctesias, is the first person to document such animals, which were probably mixed up descriptions of the rhinoceros, which he said were bigger than donkeys.

Hi Noah! Glad you are here! The King James Version is the only version that has unicorns in it. Most other versions say wild ox, and a few of them say rhinoceros.
Cool unicorn verses. Are there bible versions that omit unicorn content? I can imagine there would be.
