Peter: Upon this Rock - Australia, WA

Matthew 16:18  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Peter wrote these books around the 60"s AD just before he was martyred around 67 AD.

Peter reminds us that God has choosen you and me, though we suffer here on this earth, we are to live pure lives and be a light for God.  Peter encourages us to be ready when Jesus comes and that Jesus IS coming.

1 Peter contains 5 chapters and is 105 verses long

2 Peter contains 3 chapters and is 61 verses long

Total number of verses is 166 for the two books.
