❤ Happy Sabbath everyone! 😄
1 Peter 4:16, 19 KJV - "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."
The devil never lets up. He does try to "wear out" the saints with continuous oppression. I have been having pain in my left eye for 2 days. It turns out that I have a clogged oil gland in my lower lid. Now I have to get on a prescription and do hot and cold treatments, etc. When tempted to become depressed, here are some good verses to remember. James 1:2-4 KJV say, "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."
Sabbath is here in the Great Northwest! I really cooked up a storm today. I made lasagna, a green bean dish with potatoes (fresh pole beans from my garden), a tuna salad, corn on the cob and a veggie burger dinner for us three (my son, my husband and myself). I picked tomatoes off of my vines today, and with the ones that I had already picked, I made a homemade sauce that cooked for almost 5 hours. We will try it out on friends who are coming over for lunch tomorrow. Happy Sabbath everyone!
It is a blustery windy day today. A typical day in our area. I have to lead songs at church. My hair may be a shambles by the time I walk through the church door! 😒🙃
Deuteronomy 5:29 KJV - "O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep ALL my commandments ALWAYS, that it might be well with them, and with their children [future generations of the followers of Christ] FOREVER!" Here is one more scripture text that makes it evident that the 4th Commandment is still as legitimate today as it was back then.
Jude 1:22-23 KJV - "And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."
🌷 Happy Sabbath everyone! 🙏😄❤
@Bereanone: Are you still active? We are getting closer to the end. My friend believes that the 6000 year time period will end in 2027. We know Jesus will cut "the time short in righteousness." I pray that we will be ready to go home when He comes. Keep the faith.
It's a wonderful thing to hide God's word in our hearts and minds, "putting on the whole armor of God."
@Bereanone: Amen! And when we are brought before councils to give our testimony, the Holy Spirit will speak thru us if we have hidden God's word in our heart.
Should we not be memorizing scripture to prepare for the close of probation? After all, thy word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against thee. EGW told us two things, that the baptism of Christ by John at the Jordan marked the 4,000th year since Adam left the garden and she also told us that Christ’s return would end Satan’s 6,000 year reign. I know how to add 2,000 years to AD 27 so the next few years are going to be wild. Time to gear up by memorizing scripture….
It looks like your group has become inactive for some reason. I would like to stimulate you to action by offering to share many of my collections with your group. It will give you a better witness on here. If you will temporarily make me an admin, I will be happy to share them with you. You can see them at FINAL EVENTS SDA which is near the top of the leaderboard. 🖐😀
I would like to invite new and long-time Adventists to my group called FINAL EVENTS SDA. Some interesting Collections have been put together for Believers to glean Precious Truths from. Instilling God's Word in our minds is an important thing we must do to help protect ourselves against "the wiles of the devil." Discussion on the Message Wall is always welcome! ☺
