Something interesting.. "Why do beavers rest EVERY sabbath day?" video on YouTube. A strange silence is always observed by them on Saturdays. A hush falls over all their activities at sundown every Friday evening without fail. And this is regarding every beaver around the world, regardless of the season. If you review 100 verses a day for a week, your score would be 700 at the end of the week. With this new system, you could probably be at the top of your group leaderboard. On my group leaderboard, Final Events SDA, I am about eight people down from the top because I can not possibly do that much in a day. But there are some who are doing that and more! I started a challenge in my group to encourage people to keep memorizing and reviewing.
I believe that the developer adopted this new way of tallying scores because there was so much cheating going on. People were getting impossibly high, unnatural scores, up in the thousands! So now we have to prove our interest in reviewing with a tally of our efforts in a 7-day count. It shows who are actually the most active reviewers.
Can anyone explain to me the difference between "current verses" and "verses in the last 7 days." I don't know when the website changed, but I am having trouble understanding how it works.

A friend told me that somewhere they normally count to fifteen on one hand. They just count the joints of their fingers. So they count to a total of 30 on both hands.
@Adrian: I can count on one hand how many fish I have caught in my life: a perch at the beach when I was young; a gar down in south Texas when I was in my 20s; and a bass with a plastic worm (I'll never forget that!) near where my husband grew up. :^)
@Adrian: It sounds like you really enjoy memorizing scriptures. It's really fun, isn't it? I can't learn enough, and have to control my time on the app. I'm sorry to hear about you losing your tackle box; my husband was a very good fisherman at one time. I think something like that would have really irked him. I have a picture of him somewhere, holding a string of nice sized fish.. Maybe 15 or so. Unbelieveable! :^0
It depends on the situation.

My husband looked up the personal group verses current for Melinda in the cheat group called THE TOP GROUP (which has been taken down), and estimated that a person would have to review over 7,000 verses daily to keep them current! I suspect that cheating is going on in this group considering the top Admin is claiming 17,734 current DAILY group verses. I don't know why the Bible Memory staff have not taken down this group, but it may be only a matter of time. I suggest you guys go into the group verses and find the CHEAT VERSES before you lose your group. There are 1,218 members on here, so you should be able to find them. It takes time to keep things honest, but it will be worth it in the long run. God bless!
