How to Memorize Scripture with Your Baby

You are never too young to start memorizing Scripture. Babies are programmed to learn rapidly. Their little spirits absorb the words that we speak, even if it may not seem like it. You can instill a love of God's Word in your baby--even before birth! Here are some ideas on how to plant the seed of God's Word in your baby's heart.

 

1. Recite your verses aloud to your baby. Start by reading or reciting Scripture to your baby. Bedtime is a great place to start. Or anytime, if your baby is still in the womb! God promises that His Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). As you read His Word, you will be depositing seeds into your little one's heart that will bear fruit for eternity.

 

2. Record your verses using the audio feature on the Scripture Typer PRO App for iPhone, iPad, Android, and Kindle Fire. Then play them on a loop during playtime or on walks with the stroller. Who knows? If you play the same passages frequently, you may find your child memorizes them quickly when they are older.

 

3. Pray Scripture over your baby. Pray your memory verses over your baby. God's Word makes an excellent prayer manual! Use it to guide your prayers over your little one.
