How to Memorize the WHOLE Bible

Memorizing the whole Bible, one verse, chapter, and book at a time is quite doable, especially with a little help from Scripture Typer! Previously, we looked at some reasons why we should memorize extended passages. Now, here's how to do it:

1. Go to My Verses, either at ScriptureTyper.com or on your mobile app for iPhone, Android, & Kindle Fire.

2. Create a Collection. Select "Create a Collection" (web) or "New Collection" (app).

3. Name your collection. We recommend creating a New Collection for every chapter you memorize, even if you plan to memorize an entire book. So for the Collection Name, you could say "John 1", "John 2", "John 3", etc.

4. Import verses into your collection. Select "Add or Import Verses" (web) or "New Verse" (app), and use the Verse Editor to import the passage into your collection.

You can import the entire passage at one time, and Scripture Typer can split the passage into individual verses for you (recommended). (You will be able to review the verses combined as one passage later, even if they are entered individually.) Just import the verse range for the passage into your collection. You don't even need to know how many verses are in a passage to do this. For example, you can enter John 1:1-100 (even though there are not 100 verses in John 1!), and Scripture Typer will simply import all of the verses in John 1 for you. It's that easy!

5. Start memorizing! Use Scripture Typer's easy Type It - Memorize It - Master It method to memorize your passage.

6. Review. Scripture Typer's smart review system will automatically remind you to review your verses so you never forget them. Flash cards, illustrations, and audio review (Scripture Typer Pro app-only features for iPhone, Android, & Kindle Fire) are especially helpful ways to review. You'll never get bored!

Memorizing the whole Bible, one verse, chapter, and book at a time is a rich way to study the Bible, draw closer to God, and become more like Jesus. Memorizing extended passages has become our favorite way to memorize here at Scripture Typer. It's an excellent platform for your daily devotional times, as well. More on that next time...Happy memorizing!

Salvation

Do you know the Lord? He knows you. God knows you, and He loves you. He loves you so much He wants to spend eternity with you! But there is a problem--we are all sinners. And sin separates us from God because He is so holy and so pure. But God does not want us to be separate from Him! So He came up with a plan. He sent Jesus, His pure and spotless Son, to die for us. Can you imagine sending your only Son, your perfect Son, to die for sinners like us? But that's exactly what He did! Because He loves you that much! He died for you to live. He died to save YOU. There is NO other way to be saved, but through Jesus alone. At the end of your life, will you be ready to meet the Man, Christ Jesus? Memorize and meditate on verses from the Salvation collection today.

"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 ESV
