Pardon Our Progress to Scripture Typer 2.0

Thank you so much for your patience during the transition to Scripture Typer 2.0 for iPhone and iPad. We'd like to address several issues you may run into and let everyone know that a follow-up update was submitted to Apple on December 29th. It is awaiting their review, and upon approval should resolve any outstanding issues, including:

1. You should not have to pay for a Pro Update if you previously purchased the app. If you did pay for a Pro upgrade after purchasing the previous version of the app, please contact [email protected] to request a refund. The app was designed to automatically update your account to the new "Pro" version. We've had several reports of the app not properly completing this free upgrade.

If this happens to you, do the following:

a. Make sure you are logged in to the app with a Scripture Typer Account. If you aren't, please contact [email protected] for additional instructions.

b. Delete the Scripture Typer app from your device

c. Re-install the app from the App Store and Log back in with your ST account

d. Go immediately to the Review screen, this will ensure that your verses are converted to the new review system.

e. E-mail [email protected] if your account still hasn't received the Pro update.

2. Frequent App Crashes. If the app is crashing, this is also related to a problem with the upgrade script. Follow the "If this happens to you" instructions for re-installing the app above to resolve this issue, as well.

3. Flash card popup bug. If you're seeing an annoying popup every time you flip over a flash card, follow the "If this happens to you" instructions for re-installing the app above to resolve this issue, as well.

4. Verse Text Not Visible. The next update fixes a bug that causes the text to shift up off the top of the screen behind the navigation bar the first time a verse is viewed after launching the app. Once you type a letter, the verses should shift down into their proper location.

5. Other Bugs.

Fix percentage accuracy in combined verses mode

iPad Left Panel: touching verses in review list, loses audio and status bar

Audio Playback stops when listening to collection playback for a 2nd collection

Back button may become disabled after recording and jumping around between collections

Review list not being refreshed after reviewing with flash cards

Long passages truncated on flash cards

Memorized entire ST collection, but didn't get the badge

Verse references not appearing on Illustration List

6. New Features.

Alternate option for sorting the Review list purely by due date

Alternate view of Rankings by Verses Current

Larger font size options for typing screen

7. Why is everything so much different?

The 2.0 release of Scripture Typer had to be totally rewritten to comply with Apple's new design and programming requirements. Please don't be discouraged by any bugs with this update. Now that we've completed the rewrite, the app is much easier to update, and we'll be taking a lot of care to polish it up and get all of the kinks worked out.

Please let us know if you run into any issues not addressed in this update. Thank you for helping to improve Scripture Typer!
