I would like to challenge you to look into the corruption of the new Bible versions out there such as the ESV. I will be memorizing in the KJV. I used to think "KJV only" people were cooks and a cult. I had a lot of the versions on my shelf and would pick and choose the interpretation of a verse based on what best fit my situation or sounded best. Was I making myself my own god there ? But then I looked into it. It makes sense. A new Bible translation comes out about every 6 months now. Where does it end? If we can handle studying Shakespeare in high school, surely we can handle a few antiquated words in the King James. Plus, I have noticed that the way the KJV is worded , it sticks in my brain better. Not to mention that it is fun : ) I use the website and app of the Noah Webster's 1828 dictionary to look up words because he based it on the KJV. And did you know the KJV is free? There is only a charge when copywrited maps and that sort of stuff is included. The KJV is in the public domain. The newer versions are based on faulty manuscripts that trace back to the Vatican and the translators - many of which aren't even Christians - needed to change a certain percentage of words in order to get a copywrite so they can charge money for hard copies and usage. Also, if you would please say a prayer for my family (the Dolce [dole-chay] / Glaze family), I would be so grateful. The enemy has wreaked havoc there but it is amazing what good things God has done so far to re gain ground. But more need salvation and there needs to be restoration of individual members with each other. Thank you also for taking time to read this. I will come back to update.
