Justification Through Faith.
Romans 3:23-31
23. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood for the remissions of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29. Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also
30. Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumision through faith.
31. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
A Plea For Mercy
Psalm 6:1-10
1. O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2. Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
3. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long?
4. Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies sake.
5. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6. I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7. Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8. Depart from me, all ye working of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping .
9. The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.
10. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
Thomas Sees Jesus
John 20:26-31
26. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, and believing.
28. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book.
31. But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name..
The Lord's Good And Mercy Endureth For Ever

2. Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
3. Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
4. Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
5. I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.
6. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
7. The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
8. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
9. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.
Praise And Bless The Lord
Psalm 113:1-9
1. Praise ye the Lord, Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.
2. Bless be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.
3. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised.
4. The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.
5. Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,
6. Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in the heaven, and in the earth!
7. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
8. That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.
9. He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.
In The Body Of Christ
1 Corinthians 12:27-31
27. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
29. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
30. Have all the gift of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
31. But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
God Abundantly Pardons
Isaiah 54:1-7
1. Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travial with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
2. Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
3. For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4. Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame.of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5. For thy Maker is thy husband; the Lord of host is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Mighty Weapons of Warfare
2 Corinthians 10:1-6
1. Now I Paul myself beech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent and behold toward you:
2. But I beech you, that I may not behold when I present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be hold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but might through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exhalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6. And having in readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Samson Pray To God For Strength
Judges 16:28-31
28. And Samson called unto the Lord, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.
29. And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.
30. And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.
31. Then his brethern and all the house of his father came down, and took him, and brought him up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah his father. And he judged Israel twenty years.
God's Righteousness

1. Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.
2. He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
3. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
4. He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
5. They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
6. He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
7. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth
8. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the rivers unto the ends of the earth.
Plans For Hope And Future
Jeremiah 29:11-15
11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you an expected end.
12. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
15. Because ye have said, The Lord hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;

30. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with malice:
32. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Psalms 51-1-10
1. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2. Wash me thoughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me know wisdom.
7. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

God's Is Faithful To Forgive Us For Our Sins
1 John 1:5-10
5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declared unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sins.
8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

The Lord is My Shepherd
Psalm 23:1-6
1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2. He maketh me lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Resurrection Of The Dead
1 Corinthians 15:12-22
12. Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you there is no resurrection of the dead?
13. But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14. And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so that the dead rise not.
16. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17. And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.
Defending Your Faith
1 Peter 3:8-
8. Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethern, be pitiful, be courteous:
9. Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrarwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing
10. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
11. Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensure it.
12. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
13. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
14. But and if ye suffer for righteousness sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
15. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that askest you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
16. Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
Saved By Gods Grace
Ephesians 2:3-10
3. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lust of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus;
7. That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Jesus Christ.
8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9. Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Rest For Your Soul
Matthew 11:28-30
28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
When Thomas Believes In The True Son Of God
John 20:26-31
26. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless but believing.
28. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31. But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing might have life through his name.
Keeping Yourself In God's Love

20. But ye, beloved people, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Trust In The Lord Shall Be Safe
Proverbs 29:25
25. The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
When Trying Of The Faith Worketh Patience
James 1:2-6
2. My brethern, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not: and it shall be given him.
6. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a waver of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Christ Has Begotten US Again
1 Peter 1:3-5
3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
4. To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.
5. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time
Be Of Good Courage
Psalm 27:11-12
11. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
12. Wait on the Lord be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Your Hearts And Minds In Jesus Christ
Philippians 4:4-7
4. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6. Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.
7. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus
Jesus Heals A Man With The Palsy
Matthew 9:2-7
2. And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5. For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7. But when the multitude saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
We Should Love Everyone
Matthew 5:38-45
38. Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39. But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42. Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43.Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
44. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45. That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Putting On The Word Of Faith
Colossians 3:13-17
13. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Example That Christ Is The True Son Of GodJohn 11:38-44
38. Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
39. Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42. And I knew that thou heardest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice Lazarus, come forth.
44. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him let him go.
He Want Let Us Go
John 10:22-30
22. And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
23. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
24. Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed me not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
26. But ye believed not, because ye are not my sheep, as I said unto you.
27. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30. I and my Father are one.
Standfast In The Faith
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
13. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
14. Let all your things be done with charity.
Death Is Swallowed In Victory
Isaiah 25:8-9
8. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
9. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
Hope in God
Psalm 43:1-5
1. Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitiful and unjust man.
2. For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3. O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
4. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
5. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Teaching of the Grace of God
Titus 3:1-8
1. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2. To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
3. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6. Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7. That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Jesus Challenges Peter
John 21:15-19
15. So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He said unto him, Yea Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
18. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedest thyself, and walkest whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt strech forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
19. This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

Psalms 18:16-20
16. He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
17. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
18. They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.
19. He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
Love Leads To Love
1 John 4:7-11
7. Beloved let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
Turning Together To God
Colossians 3:8-14
8.But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blastphem, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10. And have put on the new man , which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11. Where there is neither Greek nor Jew circumcision nor uncircumision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all and in all.
12. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness longsuffering;
13. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

📰Latest News: July 6, 2021. Season 2, Part 3. ACTIVE GROUPS CONTINUE TO RISE!!! In the last three years a new type of group has come. An active one. Finally after almost a decade of dominance Silent Echoes along with other inactive groups start to slide. This sudden change is happening by the active members themselves memorizing many verses to get up to the top. Soon they may dominate, but Silent Echoes has almost 10,000 between them and the next group. It would take almost a year for any group to even come close to that! So how are the active groups going to do it? By banning together. They can get thousands of verses as a team with this stratagy. Encouraging one another until the time comes that they will take over. It may take a year or even two, but the groups slowly incline to the point of no return. Stay in tune for more news!-Narrow Way Punlishing📰(Sponsored by Agape Force)

I'm new to this app. I made a group, but it will not let me add verses. Do any of you know how to add verses?
sure I will join your group
please join my group genisus
I said maybe but what is it
can you please join my group called help in difficult times?
Hello everyone. I. fairly new to memorising and have a passion to memorise the book of Romans. How good is God's Word!! 😄
What an Awesome God we serve! 🔥🙏🤸
I’m new to this app I’m not sure how to use it can someone help me
Btw I recommend joining the group, Legends of God-defeat bosses it is rapidly rising in verses current and it has many great people, this group has everything!, Especially active members if you say something it is almost guaranteed someone will say something within the next four hours usually less! What other group is more active then that? There is exiting challenges called bosses, you need to memorize or do some fun bible related challenge, there is always a little something to do! It is great in verse collections as well. If you lack verses, say something and one of the admins will likely put them up! It would be much appreciated if you join, chat and above all memorize! If you like the group please advertise to other groups to get more amazing people on! Just search for Legends to see all the Legends groups. Thanks!
do you have a brother hannah ballard? and what is his name if you do because u know a hannha ballard
I am disjoining your group you are not talking to me
I agree with you, Elizabeth (and that includes myself...) :( Thanks for adding!
Lamentations verses and chapters added =)
Galatians verses, chapters, and passages added =)
I just saw we had these challenges in 2017 (after 2016 Nats) xD Too bad not enough people are on this group for us to do that this year =( Last year there weren't enough people either =( I wonder where everyone went?? I feel like the BBers on ST are not as active as previous years... xP
Y'ALL SHOULD WE START THE ACTIVITY ON THIS GROUP??
Hi Suzanne =) Are you doing the Bible Bee this year?
@All, How's it going? It's been pretty quite with y'all! Have y'all been doing anything interesting lately? How is your memorizing/reviewing going? =)
I'm scared of all dogs xD
@Suzanne, deathly afraid of them? Hmm, interesting! I am only scared of dogs if they are wild (we have a bunch of coyote-like dogs in our area) or if they are trained to be mean or something xP Still, I don't blame you. Strange dogs can be scary :)
@Suzanne, finally! I don't know anyone else who's scared of dogs! :P
@Elizabeth, I "hate" dogs too! I'm deathly afraid of them!!
@Grace, okay LOL XD I thought it was a fake dog, but I didn't know LOL xP
@Elizabeth, huh? That has GOT to be a fake dog!!! xP
@Ra72, I know this is a stupid question, but is your profile pic a real or fake dog? xP I hate dogs, so I'm very ignorant =) Sorry!:P
@Ra72, they want to go out, but they aren't awake when it's cool =[ GJ! :D
It's amazing how differently the Lyme affects people. It's such a chameleon disease! Have you heard of the man who was diagnosed with ALS and given a few months to live but then took antibiotics for Lyme and got better? A friend was at the conference where he stood up out of his wheelchair and told his story. It was pretty amazing!
@Sarah, that's awesome! PTL!! I had oral antibiotics, shots, and an IV for a few months and they helped a lot, but it was some herbal protocols that helped the most!
You have to encourage someone to go with you! lol. We have to drive to get to the river too but my mom doesn't mind, she enjoys walking. Her and my dad are part of a group that hikes and stuff for several miles sometimes, but she takes pity on me and will take me out for shorter walks. I did 22 mins yesterday! Last week I could only do 10! :P
@Grace, nope =( We have to drive to get to them xP
@Elizabeth, we can't go outside unless someone else is up either xP No rivers? Do creeks count? xD @Sarah, that is interesting :)
@Ra72, well it's not hot when I wake up, but then no one else is up, and I can't go out myself, so... We don't have any rivers close to us =(
@Grace, yeah, I do remember xD
@Ra, thanks for the advice! She has a really good doctor, and what they are doing is working for her. The funny thing was that the normal treatments didn't work on her, but they tried more natural treatments, and she has been doing Great!
*Oops, I meant Psalm 53, not 56 xP @Ra, Yeah, reviewing them all at once could be problematic xD And I do love being around animals, though I can't say for myself that being around them is therapeutic because I'm around them all the time. I know my mom thinks it is xD@Elizabeth, well, I did tell you that - but do you remember what else I said? :P
@Elizabeth, you have to go early in the morning before it gets hot! And have a shady place by a river or something. I live not too far from the Delaware river and there's a nice towpath along the canals that's lovely to walk along! :) I'm going to try to build some strength and hopefully finally beat this illness once and for all, Lord -willing!
@Grace, yeah, when I review Psalms I do them all at once so it makes it worse! lol I should probably spread them out. I used to love being at the barn where I rode in the summer! I mucked stalls and stuff to help pay for boarding my horse and I have no sense of smell so that made it easier! xD There's something so therapeutic about being around animals!
@Sarah, does your cousin have a good doctor for the Lyme? A knowledgeable doctor is essential! And checking for coinfections! Since I had 2 it made treatment much more difficult but I had one of the top Lyme docs in the country. He actually wrote a book which might be helpful for your cousin. It's called "How Can I Get Better?" by Richard Horowitz
@Grace, HOPEFULLY do BB? :O I thought you said you could do the SS! :P
@Ra72, wow, that must be difficult! :( Keep seeking Christ! Press on! The verses I didn't review were some Bible Bee verses and also verses I memorized on my own, but I didn't have time to review until it was too late :( Yeah, I always get the Psalms confused =O But I usually get the ones I memorize for Bible Bee pretty good though xD I haven't really memorized many Psalms on my own, so IDK if I could remember them well if I tried xP My plans are to do Bible Bee, and we'll see what else I'll be doing xD I don't like walking in this time of the year =( It's way too hot >:( I prefer walking in the winter (although I don't like walking anytime) :D What are your plans? :P
@Ra72, yeah, there are a lot of Psalms that are really similar...xD I've had trouble, for instance, with Psalm 14 and Psalm 56 for a long time...and there are many, many others like that xP Well, currently my summer plans are to do school and to take care of the animals =P Oh, and hopefully do the Bible Bee =)
So do you guys have any plans for summer yet? (I must confess I'm definitely a winter person! lol) But this time of year is so nice for going out walking! :)
@Grace, I start getting the Psalms confused! lol. Some are so similar that I forget which verses are in which psalms sometimes! :P Romans 8 has been such a comfort! I love v18 "the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us" :D
@Sarah, Yes! :D He is the Great Physician! And even if I never get well on this earth, it just makes Heaven and the new earth more appealing!! :)
@Ra72, they were random verses that I crammed right before Nationals (a couple of Psalms, I believe) xD Wow, sounds like what you're going through is really tough. PTL that we can lean on Him when we go through things like that! Keep trusting Him =)
@Ra, thanks for the encouragement! I am sorry to hear that you having to deal with that. :'( one of my cousins is, and it is so hard for her. It sounds like you have put your faith and trust for healing in the best doctor ever! Congratulations you have found the best road to recovery.
(I do still get frustrated and discontented when it keeps me from memorizing or studying the Bible though! lol. But time away does make it all the sweeter when I can get back to it again! :)
@Sarah, Congratulations!! That's awesome! :D I'm undecided on what to work on next! Lol. I finished Romans 8 two months ago so I might keep going with the rest of Romans but there are also lots of Psalms I want to memorize too! :) I've had Lyme disease since I was 4 with 2 coinfections. We didn't realize until I was 14 and started having paralysis that I hadn't been treated properly. So it's been a rough road. But God is faithful and I'm very grateful for my illness. He's taught me so much through it and changed me for the better! :)
@Elizabeth @Grace, Lol well that makes me feel better! :P What verses got neglected for so long? We're they from books or just random?
@Ra72, I'm glad you're feeling better! Welcome back :D And currently I have some verses needing review that are on -550 days =O Basically, it's like Elizabeth said; at this point I don't really have them "memorized" anymore, and since I have 5,225 verses to be reviewed they're not really on the top of my list xP @Elizabeth, OK xP
@Ra, I am working on Chapter 4 now! What are you working on now? I am sorry to hear that you were sick, what have you been dealing with?
@Ra72, yay! PTL! :D Yep, you saw it right xP I just didn't review those verses for over a year :O At first I didn't review them much, and then I forgot them, so I had to wait until I rememorized them xD
Thanks! :D I was pretty sick but doing better now! Hurray!! Lol. Can't wait to get reviewing/memorizing again! :D @Elizabeth, 450 days?! How did that happen? @Sarah, how are you doing with James?
@Ra, welcome back! it is great to have you here, I was wondering what happened.
@Grace, I know she has a right to know, but you told her before, and you don't have to talk about it so much >:( @Ra72, welcome back! :D I'm fine! How are you?:P That's not as bad as I got xP At one point most of my verses were -450 days :O
Hey guys!! I'm back! How are y'all doing? It's been 77 days since I last reviewed! 😳
@Elizabeth, tut! She has a right to know that you won xP After all, it IS public information xD But I won't mention it if you don't want me to :P
@Sarah, thanks! It's still there xP They live stream it on Tuesdays and it stays there for a while xD If you want to watch it, it's still available... :P @Grace, I do appreciate it! xD I just don't want you always mentioning it >:(
@Elizabeth, *chuckles* Of course I did!!!! xD @Sarah, yes, it definitely is quite an achievement. Even if she doesn't appreciate it, those of us who have never achieved the same do! xP
Really neat! I didn't see the post until too late. thanks for sharing though! @Elizabeth, Congratulations! That is quite an achievement.
@Grace, *facedesk* Did you have to say that?!?!?!?!?! >:(
(I meant losing battle as in I never get them all reviewed, not that reviewing verses is a waste of time or something like that) xP
@Sarah, neat! I'll probably look into that xD And if you watch the Junior semis/finals you'll see Elizabeth win 1st place xP @Elizabeth, I know...I struggle constantly to keep verses current, and it's a losing battle for the most part x( =P
@Sarah, in case you didn't know... The NBBC show airs every Tuesday night at 8:00 PM EST!!! It's the replay of Semis and Finals of 2017 Nationals xD Primaries and Juniors should be on there, so if you want to watch... Here's the link:
https://www.facebook.com/nationalbiblebee
Yeah, I know what you're talking about xP That used to happen to me all the time :P
sorry that i posted that too many times! i was having some technical difficulties
Oh cool! I'll definitely check it out! :D
Here is a link with information about the Lectureships
(http://www.floridacollege.edu/lectures-info/)
@Elizabeth, I have to agree!
And I have 1600 some verses due now :O
Wow I should have proofread that! The FC lectureships are a series of lectures give by different preachers from aroung the country. It is a wonderful way to expand your biblical knowledge, and get to know other christians!
Apologies that is FC lectureships, and biblical Florida College even where multiple preachers come together and preach on certain topics. It is a wonderful way to meet new christians!
@Sarah, what are JC Lectureships?:P
Fun! My favorites are, Christmas, Blue-greens, Chameleons, Reading, and my grandparent's house, or the JC Lectureships.
@Sarah, Easter or Christmas (if Nationals doesn't count xP), hot pink, warthogs, review/memorize/study Scripture or play with the animals, and Nationals xP
What's your favorites, Sarah?:P
Favorite day of the year is whenever Nationals is (I know, I know, that's more than one day, but oh well xP), favorite color is light pink or light purple, favorite animal is horses or pandas, favorite thing to do is memorize verses, and favorite place to go is Nationals :D
Discussion questions: What is your favorite? Day of the year, color, animal, thing to do, and place to go.
Thanks! Yeah, I do too... xP Yet now I have about a thousand verses due >:[
GJ, Elizabeth!!! xD I really hope you do catch up...it'll motivate me to review more xP
I have 850 verses due cause I reviewed 413 verses today :O :D :) Now I'm 200 verses short of you, Grace!
And I have to review 1100 some verses (not all on this group) >:[ Most of them are like -58 days :O
Hey, that's what were here for! To exhort, encourage, and edify one another (the 3 E's) xP xD
@Elizabeth, Oh, I see! xP Congrats on reviewing, then! xD
@Grace, I don't have 500 due anymore xP @Sarah, no problem! It's rather confusing :(
@Elizabeth, Ok I get it, apologies for the misunderstanding!
@Elizabeth, if you just review like 500 more (the ones that aren't current anymore) you'll be even with me xP xD
@Sarah, that just means that they're "due", which means I have to review them xD I didn't review them, so they're not current anymore, and I have like 500 less verses current now :O Hopefully that made sense... xP I'm not the best at explaining things :P
@Grace, Thanks!
@Elizabeth, Yeah I was talking about your verses going down. Does that mean that you need to review them?
@Sarah, congratulations! I love that chapter =D
@Elizabeth, just review 'em and they'll go up! xP
What does what mean? That my verses went down?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 500 or so of my verses went down!!! :O >:( :|
Fine fine fine xPPP But I said JKJKJKJKJK after that though! :D
@Grace, the sentence before GJ was JKJKJKJKJK
@Elizabeth, I was referring to the sentence in front of the "GJ" xP
@Sarah, ditto to Elizabeth! xD
@Sarah, that's what we're here for! :D
@Grace, I SAID GJ!!! So... xPPP
@Elizabeth, *ahem* Romans 12:15? xP (jk) Thanks! xD @Sarah, ditto to Elizabeth x)
@Grace, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're reviewing too much!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:[ JKJKJKJKJK GJ though!!!!! :P
@Sarah, okay xP If you want tips you can just let us know :P
@Elizabeth, oh that's fine, I just haven't done it before, I wasn't asking for anything specific.
@Grace, I do school in the summer so I can get a week or two off before Nats xP
@Grace, well I bet you had more school anyway xP
@Elizabeth, I didn't when I was your age xP @Sarah, what Elizabeth said xD Not sure what you want the tips for...x)
@Sarah, tips or ideas for starting a group? What? I'm sorry, but you might need to clarify what you want tips or ideas for xP Sorry :P
Thanks for the info! I am thinking about starting a group specifically for memorizing James, any tips or ideas?
@Grace, but you're busier though xP I have no college classes and you do :P
@Elizabeth, ha! Me, smarter?? I had time when I was your age, and I wasn't even close to winning xP That shows you're definitely smarter xD Besides, you are now in the same division I am thanks to your win last year =P @Sarah, we'll let you know what it is when they release it! And that is kind of funny xP
That's... interesting LOL XP
@Sarah, they haven't released the study chapters yet, but they'll release them on May 25th (or somewhere around then):P The study guide will be out sometime at the very beginning of June if that's what you wanted to know =P
oh, so ironic, I just reviewed the verses I memorized for BB2015.
@Elizabeth and Grace, yeah my family definitely did the 2015 study. Again I repeat it is so cool that you both are doing it this year! BTW. what is the study material for this year?
@Sarah, oh yeah 2015 was super disorganized =| It's been better after that though :P And just know that I am not the smarter one cause Grace has less time for BB and in a harder division, so Grace is smarter xP
@Grace, well you reviewed more xP
Oh, and one more thing-(sorry Elizabeth, I couldn't help it!) xP If it sounds like Elizabeth and I are really smart, know that it is Elizabeth who is the smart one xD She actually won first place in Juniors last year! Now me, I've never even come close xP
Ah! That was the year it was John 1-6, right? Well, I must add that year was very disorganized because the management had just switched over. It was really a nightmare! I don't blame you if y'all don't want to do it again after that. It was really overwhelming, even for those of us who had made it to Nationals before. I'm glad you did get a chance to participate, though. And I did the summer study for four years before I made it to Nationals...it's hard! Most people don't make it their first year. Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to push you to participate, because I'm not. I guess I'm just enthusiastic about the Bible Bee because I've done it for the past eight years xP
@Grace, I think my family did the year 2015 summer study. I think it is cool that you and Elizabeth are doing it this year! And yes I did mean the the nationals.
@Elizabeth, bluh! xP I am so behind in my reviewing *sigh*
Anyone can do the summer study! I'm guessing you mean Nationals, but even though Nationals is fun, you can still do the summer study. The summer study is part of the competition, so if you participate, you're in the contest. The important thing isn't the competition, anyway. I'm not trying to make you do the summer study, but it would be neat if you did. Both Elizabeth and I are doing it this year x) I'm glad you've done it before, though, even if you don't do it this year. Which year[s] did y'all do it? (if you don't mind saying xP I'm just curious to know which book/study passage we studied that year, as some years were harder than others...)
@Grace, Our family looked into bible bee, but none of us ever got into the competition. Thanks for the suggestion!
I am working to catch up to you! :P
I think I actually might've reviewed that much xP
It probably was xP And if it wasn't, be thankful for your bonuses =P xD
I reviewed but I feel like it wasn't that much... xP
You didn't review? Wow, I wish my verses did that!!! xP I have no clue why, unless you selected some new collections or something like that. If it's a glitch, I wish the glitch would spread to me xD
300 plus, but the plus sign isn't showing =[
How did my verses suddenly go up? :O I did not review 300 verses xP Explanations?:P
Yes, although I had an intermission during last month when I didn't really work on it xP I'm still hoping to finish it by May, though. I only have a little over a chapter left xD
That's what I was guessing xP Are you still memorizing 2 Peter?
Yes, that and my "projects" that I've worked on separately xP The majority were BB verses, though. In fact, the majority of verses I have memorized on my account are BB verses, soooo...=P
I'm assuming lots of them were BB verses? Or am I mistaken? :P
To clarify: it was almost 4000 (lest you think it was 3001) xP
@Grace, how many did you have current before you left? :P
@Sarah, that's fine xP I totally understand :D I don't actually want to know how old you are, but if you are under 18, then you might be interested in Bible Bee (biblebee.org) :P But if you're over 18, then forget I ever said anything =P
@Sarah, thanks xD And cool! Piglets are SOOOO cute x)
@Elizabeth, I have about 2076 current (out of 7751...) And that's after reviewing for quite a while yesterday xP
@Elizabeth, I am not really comfortable sharing that information.
Sorry
@Sarah, I realized I didn't know this, but are you over or under 18 (if you don't mind saying)? =P
@Grace, I figured xD How many do you have current? :P @Sarah, cool!
@Elizabeth, Thanks!
@Grace, Welcome Back! BTW. sorry for the misunderstanding about the (laughs) Baby warthog. Oh, speaking of pig-like creatures, our pig just had 7 babies, they are black, and about the size of a coke can.
Yeah, I'm actually surprised at how many I still have current. It's less than 1/4, but out of 7751 that's not too bad xP
I know...but I went by dates, not by "the month of March" =P
And ya know it's not the end of March xP
I have lots of verses to review too.. I have about 3000 verses on my account and only about 1000 current... But of course you have more :P
@Grace, yay! You're back!:D
@Sarah, I did feed a baby warthog dog food once... =) I didn't raise it, but it was really cute! And no, it wasn't at a zoo xP
@Elizabeth, thanks for conveying the message! xD *groans at all the verses she has to review* xP
How fast do you usually get through a chapter? :D
25 minutes is a great amount of time!:P
I spend 25 minutes a day memorizing. Thanks for the advice!
Do you have a schedule for how many verses you memorize every day? If you don't, I would definitely recommend making one :P I always make a schedule, as that helps me tremendously xD
I don't really have any suggestions besides lots of repetition :D I usually memorize one verse and then the next verse, recite then together, do the next verse, recite them together, and so on :D
I have found it to be very instructive. Thanks for the encouragement!
Do you have any suggestions for faster memorization? Right now I am memorizing the verses individually and then memorizing the chapter.
How are you liking memorizing James?:P
Awesome, Sarah! Amazing job! High fives for a job well done! :D
I finished mastering James 2! It took me about a month. Going on to chapter three.
I added Esther verses, chapters, and passages xD
@Y'all, where do y'all live?
@Elizabeth, oops, I misread her post. Btw. thanks for letting us know about Grace.
@Sarah, I don't think Grace raised a baby warthog... xP
@Grace, Then how did you find a baby warthog to raise?
@Ra, honestly I am not sure, cats, chameleons, and goats, are a few of my favorites.
Grace has charged me to tell y'all that she won't be on social media for about a month:'(
OK, no problem! And thanks xD
Revelation chapters added =) BTW, I'm done importing for this year xD I'll import anything y'all want to memorize, but I'm not planning on importing anything else xP
Revelation verses and passages added xD
@Ra72, they stay that way for at least a couple of weeks, but not all baby warthogs are striped like that. I still think they're cute xD
Yeah, I've wondered myself. Another one of those things that we won't figure out until we get to heaven! x)
@Grace, I looked up some baby warthog pics but only found one that looks like a watermelon (they must not stay that way for long, only the wee babes xD). I know animals won't be a big deal in heaven, but have you ever thought about what we'll do there? Sure, we'll be praising/worshiping God but Scripture seems to indicate we'll have responsibilities too. And if you think of the angels, some are dedicated solely to worship but others go about doing the Lord's bidding. I've told God that in His new creation, I'd love to be a royal horse master, taking care of His royal mounts. Lol! xD
@Sarah, yes my favorite animal is the horse! xD What's yours?
@Sarah, no, I don't live in Africa xP I've never been to Africa, but I like Warthogs anyway xD I live in the U.S. x)
@Elizabeth, those are both really neat animals!
@Grace, That is interesting, I've never really liked hogs myself, but I will admit baby hogs are cute. Do you live in Africa? That is the only place I can think of where warthogs live, in the wild at least.
@Sarah, my favorite animal would be horses or pandas xD
@Sarah, the main component of our farm is cows, and they moo all the time! It would be interesting to know what they were saying xP We have horses too, though xD
My favorite animal is actually the warthog...I know, weird. I once got to bottle-feed a baby warthog, though, and they are REALLY cute! They look like brown watermelons (you should look up some pictures) xD
@Ra72, some people believe that. They don't have souls, though. It would be nice, but I think that once we're with God our animals won't seem so important anymore x)
What are your favorite animals?
@Ra, I bet yours are horses!
We sure enjoy our farm. @Ra, no we do not have horses. It would be cool if animals did talk, I especially wonder what they are saying when the cows are bawling at each other when we are all trying to sleep.
I know animals don't have souls like us, but they definitely have personalities! lol I have a friend who believes we'll meet our pets again in the new creation. I wouldn't mind that! lol
@Sarah, no horses?!? Lol. That's neat though. Do you ever imagine them talking to each other? xD (Like the movie Babe?) :D
I live on a farm also. We have cows, dogs, goats, pigs, ducks, and a few other pets.
@Ra72, great quotes!!! I, too, have to work on not just memorizing but also thinking about what I'm memorizing...and also just sitting down and reading Scripture! I have to be careful not to let memorizing become just memorizing, and the Scripture I'm memorizing become just words.
And yes, I love living on a farm! It's really fun xD
@Ra72, I love those quotes! xD
And another..."In the spiritual realm, the opposite of ignorance is not knowledge but obedience."
Here's a quote I love: "The Bible was written not to satisfy your curiosity but to help you conform to Christ's image. Not to make you a smarter sinner but to make you like the Savior. Not to fill your head with a collection of biblical facts but to transform your life."
Do you guys know who Howard Hendricks is? He has a great book on how to study the Bible called "Living by the Book"
God's really convicted me about that! I've been a good memorizer but have neglected meditation and that's the key to true heart change...or as favorite preacher puts it...meditation turns head knowledge into heart knowledge! :)
As for reading the Bible...it varies. Sometimes I get really into a topic and do extensive study, sometimes I just read a chap and chew on it. I also like to listen to/read sermons on the books/passages I'm memorizing. I try to recite everything I've memorized weekly to keep weeds from growing, but choose one book/passage to do daily for a month to really meditate on it.
@Ra72, cool! @Grace, I usually read one chapter a day, but finishing Genesis-Proverbs by the end of May (I read the books I hadn't read before), so in doing 2 chapters of Job currently, and then doing 3 chapters of Psalm, and then 1 chapter of Proverbs xD I know, I know, I hardly read anything a day, but.. I still need to memorize and review...=D
@Elizabeth, seaweed is cool! I used to eat a lot of spicy nori crackers (they're made of a sunflower seeds mixture spread on nori) Yum! lol
@Grace, that must be awesome living on a farm! I used to be a dedicated equestrian (and owned a pony/horse) before I got too sick. There's something therapeutic & lovely about barns! :)
BTW, Happy Valentine's Day!!! x)
@Elizabeth, seaweed is NOT awesome xP OK, I guess I can't say that since I've never eaten it, but...xD I do more memorizing/reviewing than actual reading, but I generally read an average of 12 chapters a day. You see, I read an entire book of the Bible about every other day because I like reading books in one sitting, but it averages out to half a book per day. In between I review and memorize xP What about you?
Another question! How many chapters (or books! @Grace) of the Bible do you read per day?=P
@Grace, seaweed is AWESOME!!!!! xP=P;P
@Grace, ok xP Do y'all think seaweed is weird?;P
@Grace, what's escargot? xP
@Ra72, the escargot I tried was very saturated in butter as well...that's pretty much all I could taste xP And I've never intentionally eaten bugs either, but I might someday xD
Yes, I live on a farm, and we have 2 horses =) Our farm is primarily cattle (we have 70+ head currently). If I could have any view in the world...Oh, I'd say the view from an airplane =D @Suzanne, REALLY???? xP
@Suzanne, WHAAAAATTT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I thought Chinese people ate all kinds of weird foods!?!?!? XPPPPP
@Ra72, I've never eaten anything really weird... I'm not very brave when it comes to trying new foods?!?
@Ra72, it is rubbery! I have allergies, so I can never smell things... xD Hmmm... Good question=P I actually don't know xD And I don't think so xP
So here's another Q...if you could have any view in the world visible from your bed, what would it be?
Hopefully we haven't scared Morgan off with our weird food discussion! xP
@Grace, do you live on a farm? Do you have horses?
@Grace, Well perhaps I have without knowing it, but never knowingly! No fried crickets or chocolate covered grasshoppers for me! xD I also liked the escargot! Probably b/c I couldn't really taste it just the garlic butter! lol. @Elizabeth, Yours must be prepared better! To me, it was rather rubbery bleh! lol. But I actually have no sense of smell, so texture matters quite a bit for me. xD
I've eaten frog legs too=D
I've eaten octopus and it's sooooooooooo good! It's one of my favorite foods!
@Ra72, oh yes you have! There is no way that you have not consumed a bug at some time in your life. Processed food contains a small percentage of bugs, unfortunately xP You just don't know you're eating them (which is probably a good thing!) xD Teff? I've eaten that. I actually liked escargot x) I've never had octopus, though. Oh, and I've had oxtail (literally the tail of a cow), which was kinda gross because it was one of our own cows that we had butchered and we knew where it came from...xO (we didn't butcher it ourselves, though. We sent it to a packing plant).
@Ra72, I meant that was the last one I was asking then xP I'll reply your question later;P
I've never eaten bugs or worms thank God! I hope I never have to!! xD
@Grace, I've also eaten escargot! No frog legs though (ack! lol), but octopus and some weird grains like teff.
@Ra72, ask away! I love questions =) Hmmm...The weirdest food I've ever eaten? Frog legs, maybe? Perhaps Tamarands (a really weird fruit!). I've eaten snail, too (escargot, really!) xP I think those are the weirdest...xD What about you, Ra72?
Here's another Q...what's the weirdest food you've ever eaten? (@Elizabeth, why not ask more Qs? I think they're fun, don't you? xP)
@Elizabeth, my fav time of the yr is also fall. :) My fav author is prob Georgette Heyer. She's similar to Jane Austen but much funnier! And I also love the Mrs. Pollifax series by Dorothy Gilman. It's about a kindly, elderly lady who becomes a spy. xD I don't really like public speaking, unless I have something important to say. :P
@Elizabeth, oh, I believe you!!! xP After all, I've seen you talking onstage to hundreds of people and not even looking nervous xD I think we "met" in 2016, but we didn't really "meet" until 2017, if you know what I mean xP Interesting!
I just realized Genesis is only 1533 verses, Job is 1070 verses, and Proverbs is 910 verses!;D
@Grace, what do you count as the first time we met? 2016 or 2017?;P
Genesis passages added xD
Yeah, it is xP Well... I do love public speaking... You probably don't believe me though xP
Wait a minute!!! You mean to tell me that you, who are very shy and hardly talked the first time we met, LOVE public speaking???????? xP I can tell why you did so well in semis and finals now xD And Nationals is *technically* in the fall, right??? xP
My favorite time of the year is... NATIONALS!!!!!=D And I love public speaking and I also IDK what my favorite book is xD
@Elizabeth, my favorite time of year is fall xD I do NOT enjoy public speaking...and my favorite book besides the Bible is IDK! I love to read, and I have so many favorite books. I really liked Kisses From Katie (a 20-year old girl who went to Uganda and ended up adopting a bunch of children). I have a bunch of other favorites too, though!
And yet another one...(Most assuredly, I say to you, this is the last one xP) What's our favorite book (besides the Bible)?
@All, what's your favorite time of the year? And another one... Do you enjoy public speaking?
@Ra72, my favorite verses are 1 Corinthians 15:58 and Colossians 2:9-10=) The verses that helped me the most are probably those two, Matthew 6:33, Philippians 4:13, Psalm 49:15, 1 John 1:9, and Psalm 119:105=] And IDK about that xP @Grace, I thought you actually liked it...=P LOLOLOLOLOLOL Actually, I was sort of expecting you to say the whole Bible xP I did now...;)
@Elizabeth, I really do like it xD After all, it basically contains the whole gospel message. OK, here's my list of favorites: Genesis 1:1-Malachi 4:6, Matthew 1:1-Revelation 22:21. xP And I notice that you didn't give us your favorite verse...xD @Ra72, I think Hebrews 12:1-11 has really helped me a lot, as has Romans 8:35-39. I could list so many favorites, but I think those two are near the top x)
If I could join the circus (and get training, because I am not a professional at this), I would be a horse trick-rider, or something that involved gymnastics and acrobatics (but NOT tight-rope walking or a trapeze artist...I don't like heights enough to do that!!!) xP
How about a silly question....If you could join the circus, what act would you most like to perform?
I think our favorite verse/passage will probably change as we get older and go through different seasons of life ! :)
@Grace, How about this...is there a verse or passage God has used in your life more than others? I have a life passage of sorts, one that defines my life and God's purposes in it. Jeremiah 29:11-13. It's a passage I've clung to since I got saved. John 3:16 could be like that or Eph 2:1-10. @Elizabeth, what's your favorite verse?
@Grace, I really did have to ask that xP C'mon! You could have a list of favorites... xP Did you choose John 3:16 because it's a famous verse mostly everyone knows?!?!?! You shouldn't do that... xP Or did you choose that because you actually liked it? If so, I don't blame you;P John 3:16 is a great verse...=P
*facepalm* did you REALLY have to ask that Elizabeth??? xP You know I can't choose a favorite Bible verse xD I can't even pick a favorite Bible passage!!! If I had to say one of my favorite Bible verses, I guess I'd just go with John 3:16 xD
@All what's your favorite Bible verse?
Habakkuk passages added=]
Habakkuk chapters and verses added=)
I agree with you, Sarah! Knowing who you're speaking to over the internet is always a good idea =)
It's good to know the sort of people I am talking too.
@Sarah, I'm a Reformed Baptist, but I go to a Presbyterian PCA church (when I feel well enough), since there aren't any Reformed Baptist churches near me and the PCA is the closest theologically to what I believe.
@Sarah, we attend a (Southern) Baptist church. :)
I would love to have seen the crucifixion:D @Sarah, I actually don't know, but I'll ask=)
here is a question. What type of church do you all attend? I attend a Church of Christ. I am just curious to know what sort of spiritual background you all have.
@Ra, yeah I can't imagine seeing his ascension, or receiving the holy spirit. It would be really amazing though to have been there though.
I'd love to have seen the beginning of creation!! C.S. Lewis says he thinks God didn't just speak everything into existence but perhaps He sang it into being. I think that's such a neat idea! And we know the angels were singing when it happened because it says so in Job 38 :)
@Grace, agreed! Though how difficult it would be!! I get choked up whenever I read about the crucifixion. And when He was praying in agony in the garden beforehand and the disciples kept falling asleep! Breaks my heart! Too often I do something similar and don't worship Christ as He deserves!
@Sarah, That would be awesome!! :D And can you imagine watching Him ascend into Heaven and later being in the upper room when the Holy Spirit came?
@Elizabeth, it would be cool! A very dramatic moment! @Grace, yeah, any of Jesus' miracles would be awesome to see!
@Ra72, now that I've thought about it a little more, I think that witnessing Jesus' baptism would be really cool. Also, I think that if we saw the crucifixion we would probably appreciate what Jesus did for us even more.
@Ra Jesus' resurrection. Can you imagine being there and hearing from his own lips the true plan of salvation, why he died for us, and his plans for the future, that would be AMAZING! Especially because there is so much confusion in the world concerning salvation.
@Ra72, I don't know! Most likely one of Jesus' miracles like the feeding of the five thousand/calming the storm. @Elizabeth, I think it would be pretty cool xD
@Ra72, hmmm.... Maybe Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead=) Not sure why though xP I just think it would be pretty cool=D
So here's another question...if you could witness one event in the Bible what would it be and why?
@Suzanne, meeting Adam and Eve would finally answer the age old question.....did they have belly buttons?? xD
@Sarah, if I chose a woman I'd choose Ruth too! What it must have been like to leave all she knew! I'd like to meet John in his later life, and hear his perspective of his younger days and being a "son of thunder!" xD
@Elizabeth, I was pondering which woman I'd wanna meet and didn't even think of Rahab! It'd be really neat to hear her story from her perspective!
@Grace, I'd like to meet Paul too! or Peter. Can you imagine having either of them as your pastor?! That'd be way cool! (Church service would be super long though! xD)
@Suzanne, that would be cool too xD @Sarah, John was my second choice! @Elizabeth, interesting choice! I think it would be neat to meet her, too x)
@Ra72, maybe... Adam and Eve?? Don't know why tho.
@Ra I would probably want to meet either Ruth, or the apostle John (The apostle whom Jesus loved) I could learn a lot from Ruth both her determination and humility. And because John the apostle was so close to Jesus He probably could tell us a lot about him, from a normal humans perspective.
@Ra72, probably Rahab because of her faith and courage =D How bout you?;P
@Elizabeth, thank you!!! @Ra72, probably Paul. Why? Well, I dunno exactly why. Probably because he would be able to share a lot of wisdom xD
Thx!......Hmm, our wall is getting too quiet! So I'm gonna throw out a random question! xD If you could meet one person from the Bible (besides Jesus), who would you choose and why?
2 Corinthians chapters, passages, and verses added xD I tried to make the passages as short as possible, but some of them are still quite long:|
@Ra72, great choice! Proverbs is really hard, but in sure you can do it!;P
Those are cute too xD I hadn't ever seen the mouse before, so cool!!! I did some Proverbs last year, and it was great. There is so much wisdom and good advice in Proverbs!
@Elizabeth, Thanks! :D You know, you've inspired me!! I think I might try memorizing Proverbs! Lol I'm glad I joined this group! :)
@Grace, those are fun! I really like the cowboy! c):D How bout this one (mouse) <:3)~ or this one (penguin) (*)>
Romans passages added =D Some of the passages are really long... Sorry!;P
@Ra72, yeah anyone can memorize with just a bit of repetition and determination, but people spend their time doing useless things=|
@Ra72, yes, it was a smiley with a baseball cap xD How about this one (cowboy hat)? c):D or this one(top hat) c|:) or this one (sunglasses) B-) I think they're cute xP
although if I look from the opposite direction, it looks like a bald smiley with his tongue sticking out! :D
@Grace, is your smiley wearing a baseball cap? d:) Lol! I've never seen that before!
@Grace, Lol! Exactly! Not sure if you've ever heard of the movie "Rain Man." It's about an autistic guy who has a great memory & can count cards. Even though I'm not autistic, I've had a couple ppl call me "Rain Woman" lol. I do think some ppl's brains are "wired" with better memories (I've actually read articles about brain chemicals impacting memory), but anyone should be able to do it. All it takes is a little repetition! (Which most ppl avoid) xP
@Elizabeth, thanks!! d:) @Ra72, keep pressing forward!!! =)
@Elizabeth, Thanks! I'm also going to do Romans 5 and 2 Cor 4! :D It's not so much muscle memory as physical illness. Honestly, it's a miracle I can memorize as much as I do. But like James says "the Lord is very compassionate and merciful." I'm totally overwhelmed by His grace! :)
I added Romans verses and chapters xD
I've made the collection of Romans chapters and I'll add it to this group when I finish the verses collection. Okay, I really don't need to be telling y'all this, but I just wanted to talk, so..... Sorry xP
I don't think you are nuts!!! We all have side memorizing projects we work on xD People think I'm nuts, though, to memorize that much Scripture (really, they think that I'm super smart and have a really neat brain, but that isn't true!!! I have to work for it just like everyone else) xP
@Ra72, I'm not doing only NT books, so I won't be done that fast xP And when BB starts I'll be doing random passages xD Okay I will! I was actually going to add them, cause I'm doing Romans 5 and 2 Corinthians 4:D We don't think you're nuts (well at least I don't)!;P Yes it's awesome! All my friends (not in the BB) hate memorizing =| 8 verses is not bad at all! It takes a while to get really strong memory muscles xP
Still, 8 verses a day is my limit! Lol!
I'm actually memorizing Romans 8 too & after that a couple chaps of 2 Cor. I wasn't going to say that cause I figured you guys would think I'm nuts! But I should have known better! It's great being among fellow memorizing enthusiasts! :D Most of my friends IRL have trouble memorizing so they tease me! :P
@Elizabeth, well you should have the NT memorized in no time! xD BTW, don't forget to add Romans and 2 Corinthians!
@Ra72, well I do 16 verses a day, so.....xD
@Elizabeth, end of January? That'd be about 15 verses a day! I wouldn't enjoy that! lol So much repetition would probably give me a headache! xP
@Ra72, that's an awesome challenge! I'm doing other things, and Ephesians is one of the last things I'm doing, so I'm hoping to finish by May xD I could finish by the end of January if I started;D
@Elizabeth, yup! xP @Ra72, I don't blame you! If I had more time, I'd probably do the same thing xD
May is a much more reasonable goal! Lol. It just so happened that doing about 6 verses a day, I should be done on Feb 28 exactly. Something about that just seemed like an irresistible challenge! :P
Great! You have 2 Peter 3 memorized, right?;P
