Hello all, I have added in some more Psalms, namely Psalm 15, 20, 24, 25, 42, 43, 100, 101, 111, 117, 121, 127, 128 and 130. Some include Messianic prophecies, others contain words of praise, of trust, of encouragement. It is going to take a few months to get all their verses mastered, but it will be worth it.
I hope and trust that you find these Psalms encouraging, and added them to your collection.
God bless.
Hello Avery, and may God's peace fill your heart and life.
Hello Lorince. May this app prove a real blessing to you.
Shalom everyone, I'm new here.
hello Wanda and I hope that you find this app a real blessing as you come to know Jesus and the Bible better.
May God bless you all in this new year of 2023.
Hello Alexavior, welcome and may God bless you.
Pastor PTH, I said what I thought about your comments what do you think of mine?
Thank you Anonymousey for sharing your thoughts.
Part 3: The reason why some people do not want to hear the Sabbath preached is that it troubles their consciences, and they feel condemned before God as violators of His law. It is not the preaching that is wrong, but their lives.
God’s book informs us that the destruction of Solomon's Temple and the carrying away captive of the people from the land of Canaan was a direct judgment on them for their desecration of the Sabbath. (See Jer. 17:21-27; 2 Chron. 36:17-21; Neh. 13:17, 18; Eze. 22:26) Now if God drove His chosen people out of the literal land of Canaan for their disregard of the day He had commanded them to keep holy, how unreasonable to think He will admit people to the heavenly Canaan if they willfully disregard that holy day.
Lastly, to your point, “Am I being guided by the Holy Spirit?”, remember that the Holy Spirit will never guide us contrary to the Scriptures for “no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost ” 2 Peter 1: 20-21, and that God gives the Holy Spirit to them that obey Him. Acts 5:29
We read that one of the duties of the Spirit of God is to reprove the world of sin." John 16:8. And what is sin? Transgression of the law. (See 1 John 3:4) Therefore the spirit that would not be reproving sin, but condoning it, by telling men that they may transgress one of the commandments -the fourth, we may properly conclude that we should immediately free ourselves, not from the Sabbath, but from that spirit! The Sabbath has stood the test of the ages; its credentials are signed by God Himself. No, the Sabbath is not on trial. Try the spirits!
Part 2: As far as those that “condemn everyone else who does not believe exactly 100% like they do”—I don’t condemn anyone—that’s for God to decide. All I can do is point people to what the Bible plainly teaches. It’s up to each person to decide for themselves what they shall do with what God says. The continuation of the Sabbath commandment is very clearly seen in numerous NT passages (Luke 23:56; Acts 13:42-44; Acts 16:13; Acts 17:2; Acts 18:1-4)
Your words somehow infer that we are supposed to believe that the preaching of Christ is something wholly different from preaching the obligations of God's holy law-that the two have nothing in common. Some have gone so far as to declare that the very idea of law is in opposition to the gospel of Christ. But such views cannot stand a moment's investigation. Three texts of Scripture are sufficient to reveal the close relationship between the law and the gospel. Christ said to His disciples, "If you love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15. Thus if we would preach the doctrine of love to Christ, and “Christ has my heart”, we must include an exhortation to obey the commandments. Obedience is the fruit of love. Or, take this other text in the book of Revelation: "Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Rev. 14:12. This is a description of the true children of God in the closing days of earth's history. How closely related is their faith in Christ and their obedience to God's commandments! Or even, 1 John 2:3,4 “And hereby do we know if we know him (Jesus), if we keep his commandments. He that saith he knoweth him and keepeth not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.” How much more plain can the Bible be?!
Part one: The main weakness to your answer is that you are arguing for something that I’m not disagreeing with. You’re building a strawman discussion so to speak. I fully agree that we can worship God, pray and read our Bibles and share Christ, etc. on all days of the week . . . but that is not the subject we are discussing! The Bible and the Ten Commandments clearly state, “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days thou shalt labor, but the SEVENTH day is the Sabbath . . .” Emphasis mine. The real question is “Which day is the Sabbath and is it still one of the Ten Commandments?” not “can I worship God every day?”
I want to ask you: Do you think God is particular? To reply that you do not think that God is particular, is to free yourself not only from obedience to the fourth command but from obedience to every other command as well. By what process of reasoning should we conclude that God is particular about nine of the commands but not about the fourth?
God gave the command that men should keep "the seventh day." Did He really mean that, or may we just keep any day we choose, or none at all if that pleases us more? In language more blunt: Does God really mean what He says?
Sorry or the late response Pastor PTH
I have added some more verses from Luke into our group collection, including the shepherds at Jesus' birth and the poor widow giving all she had at the temple. Two great stories and both worth adding to your personal collections.
Thank you Roger and Memorizer.
Amen! I like the way you put that.☺️
I hope this helps. God bless!
which is more important? right day but wrong attitude, or wrong day, right attitude? I find the words of Jesus in Matt 23:23 a good guide to what is really important, ie attitude of the heart vs observance of rituals. For me the critical questions we should be asking is:- Who has my heart? Where do my allegiances lay? Am I crucified with Christ? is Christ living in me? Do I have the fruits of the spirit? Is all known sin confessed and fully surrendered to Christ?Am I walking by faith? Am I guided by the Holy Spirit?
I have good friends, sincere Christians, who meet for weekly worship services on Saturday and some on Sunday. I have also met some very opinionated people who are convinced they are right and everyone else is wrong, and they condemn everyone else who does not believe exactly 100% like they do. I would suggest you do your own research, prayfully study the Scriptures, be convinced in your own mind, find a group who also believe the same or similar, and be gracious to those who do not see exactly eye-to-eye with you.
God can be worshipped on any day of the week. in fact you should be making time each day for worship. include prayer, praise, Bible reading/study, confessing sins, intercession prayer, ministry or service in helping others etc. I have done worship on a personal level every day of the week, same for family worship, same for small group worship same for larger "corporate" worship in a church setting.
Amen Pastor PTH!! what is the day we are supposed to worship?
a weekly holiday! I love it!!
the benefits are to our health, lowered stress levels, a time to focus on God and His creative power, and saving power, and see our relationships improve, and also contemplate God's creative works.
I think we can all agree that a rest from work has many benefits, and that's why God gave us both work and rest in the garden of eden. He gave the example and asked us to reverence the weekly day He set aside for worship and also a great day for building relationships- with God, our fellow humans, family, church family, community etc and also admiring nature. The sabbath was designed I believe to be a blessing for the entire human race. I am personally glad I have an good reason to take a day out of the working week for rest, relaxation worship and renewal.
hello anonymously and thank you for your question

And don't forget our primary goal is to know Jesus, to "grow it the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ". By the way Ola that is a quote from a verse in our collection. A good one to learn!
Thank you very much Pastor PTH, I appreciate, also thanks for the verse, God bless you sir.
And let me also say that I am not a master, just a servant of the Lord.
We are all fellow travellers on this journey of life, and disciples of Christ. My reason for memorizing Scripture is to be used by God to be a blessing to others.
Hello Ola Jacob and welcome to our group. We welcome every believer regardless of what fellowship or church or denomination you belong to. Let me encourage to learn God's Word, it will transform you. Start with few verses, then over time, work on getting one chapter memorised (eg 1 Cor 13), and then one day get a whole book like 1 John. God bless you.
Hello everyone here, respect to you all that has be master's in this group, though, I'm new here, just willing to know a lot of bible verses, to memorize it and become master as you all, please I wouldn't mind if you can be putting me right when I'm wrong, I'm a member of redeem Christian church of God, I just joined prayer department, and I need this verses, when I go through online, I notice that I can make it here with my belief. thank you all.

Hi everyone! Thanks Pr Paul for the invite 👍🙏
Hello sarah-jane. What a coincidence! This morning as I was revising Psalm 33 I thought that one of the texts was a good one on the character attributes if God and thought I should start a collection on that topic. Then I see you have asked for the same thing!
could we hsve a collection on the charachter of God,
Hello Sarah-Jane. I have added in a collection on prayer but it is only half full at this stage but enough to get you started. The second one are texts where people are specifically worshipping Jesus, thus proving His divinity.
Welcome Pa to our group. We hope you are greatly blessed. Please encourage all your friends to join our little group. Your favourite pastor!
