could you join “memorize the Bible!!!” I have only added the four Gospels in verses right now, but I intend to add the whole Bible! in fact, I added the four gospels today. it took like an hour.🥵
this is defiantly a wonderful project you have taken on.
Thanks for creating this group!
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
plz join Idaho thanks 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤩🤪👋
hey please everyone join Prayer Requests where we collect prayer requests on the Message Wall and pray for each other! 👍😃
I’ve memorized 25 verses from all over the Bible regarding protection from evil. stay prayed up brothers and sisters in Christ!
Hi, Grace. Haven't seen Christy in quite awhile; she's the group administrator. I've seen her over on the "Memorize the Mount" group, but she hasn't been posting there either. Maybe try posting your request on that group's wall?
hello, i just joined this group. Would it be possible for an admin to separate The Psalms? They ate clustered into a group of 25 psalms, which is hard if you are planning to memorize only 1 or 2. Thank you.
Does anyone know what happened to Jennifer's 'Friendship With God' group? That was really special, but it's gone 😭
dcgarcia, I hear ya: I'm in that kid-in-the-candy-store phase. Started memorizing Scripture two years ago after a looong hiatus. I'm focused on many areas: Scripture for prayer and worship, for "doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness", for sharing Christ, for being prepared to give an answer for the hope that is in me. Haven't memorized a complete book yet, but just finished James 1, and intend that little gold mine to be my first. There's so much, and I'm so slow!!!
ScriptureTyper's socializing capabilities are unique among Scripture memorization tools, as far as I know. 'Remember Me' lacks interaction entirely, and memverse.com has forums that aren't used much.
On the other hand, different groups offer verse collections not found elsewhere, or focus specificly on certain sections of the Bible (i.e. the 'Memorize the Mount' group).
Hi, Gods Chick! Welcome to our little group. I can't speak for everyone, but sometimes you'll see the same people in numerous groups us because someone creates a new group and invites everyone they know from groups they already belong to (for example 'Dogs for Jesus', 'Jesus saves', and oodles more, which were created by folks who love lots of interaction with each other on the group walls).
I'm joining. How come I find the same people in each group?
Hi everyone!! Please join the “Prayer Requests” group where we will be displaying prayer requests on the Message Wall. Please join, add your prayer requests, and pray for others(!!) ...see you in the group 😀
could you guys join group JesuSaves and dogs for Jesus? Group JesuSaves is known for Bible trivias. So if you like those you should join! And both groups are clean of bad words. Group Dogs for Jesus is known for bravery and kindness. The group has been deleted, but it just made another one. If you say "Hi, I joined." then I will almost guarantee you will be welcomed. So If you are looking for a kind, welcoming, active group please join either one. PWEEZE😇
Thanks, I was excited to find this group. I have been with ST for years. But for the most part, I’ve sort of been like the “kid in a candy store” all over the Book. Now, with this group I’m completing books. I working in NT right now; it’s exciting to complete different books. Be Blessed All!
Welcome to the group, DCGarcia! Glad to have you with us 😃
Thanks for doing this in NASB
Yeah, nice group there William, and it's growing!
Join group Jesus Saves! Super Active! plz if you can that would be great 👍
Please join Chatting with brothers and sisters in Christ!

Hi, brothers and sisters in Christ! I found a little gem of a group near the bottom of the group list; I'm inviting everyone to come and take a look 😃 You are invited to the Seventh-Day Adventist Bible memorization group:
https://scripturetyper.com/group/app/a7ab519c3d/
Oh! Thanks for the info, Seth. I don't know if Christie, the group's admin, is on here much anymore. And JesuSaves has a great collection of verses, but I've already joined 11 groups (I know, I know) and it's starting to take a long time to synchronize progress on this phone 😩
and can you check out my group called JesuSaves?
what he means to have little emoji pictures as a symbol for your group. Mine is 🙏🏻🌎🙏🏿.
Don't we Americans already have some -- the eagle, the liberty bell, Lady Liberty, etc? Not sure I understand what you mean, Skyler. BTW, 'Dogs for Jesus' is a good name: I can't think of a more joy-filled, devoted, loyal, and brave animal than a dog!
you guys should make a national group symbol, just saying
join group dogs for Jesus 💎🙂💎
Hello Christy, i would really like to join this group. Would it be possible to break Psalms into individual chapters instead of grouping them into 20-25 chapters at a time? i am memorizing certain psalms only...
hello from Ireland. I just started a group called Friendship with God. You are welcome to take a look and join.
Please join MemorizeGod'sWordTogether, it is a very encouraging and active group. Thanks for the consideration!
I'm doing a Bible studying spree in April in my group called CupcakeCat's Bible World. Go to CupcakeCat's Information to learn more.
Join our group, "Bible Papers" now and receive a custom iOS/Android lockscreen for any scripture verse of your choice.
please join the group typos
Yeah, I guess it somehow just got deleted in my copy. I’ll reimport it.
John 4:42 is in my copy of the collection, Christy. I import group verses as NKJ, but I don't know if that makes any difference.
Christy, could you add the book of Jonah?
Somehow I don’t see John 4:42 in the John 4 grouping. Has anyone else noticed this or is it only a glitch in my own collections?
My prayer for everyone this year is that we walk closer to God this year than we did last year!
It was, Loved by Jesus! And may you all have a blessed and prosperous 2018!
Merry Christmas to everyone!!!!!!!
We are memorizing Isaiah 9:6 for Advent
I am 12 and I homeschool!
Hi! Christy! Nice to meet you! I have been on this group for 6 months and I'm glad to meet you. What are you memorizing? I run the group Mission Agape and am memorizing different collections on there.
what a wonderful testimony! I have also found how having scripture memorized affects every aspect. I hear it in songs, conversations and circumstances.
Thanksgiving here was wonderful! As for goals, just keeping at it consistently. Got involved with a group called FAST Ministries at our church over a decade ago, the first time I'd ever tried memorizing God's Word (still a very young Christian at that time). Although I surprised myself and was blessed by it, after the three-month introductory course ended I just never kept going. A pastor told a personal experience with hiding Scripture in his heart at an event eighteen months ago, and that convicted me that I am responsible to God to develop any ability he has given for His service, so I poked around and found Memverse. I've just kept going ever since. The pastor was right: making Scripture a part of us through memorization. has been a blessing in some unexpected ways. His Word really can act like spiritual seeds in the heart! His absolute confidence in Isaiah 55:10-11, one of the first passages I ever read, is just a statement of fact - what He sends forth will accomplish what He pleases and shall certainly propser in the thing for which He sent it!
oh wow, Indonesia...that sounds fun! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! How are you doing with your memorization goals?
Phil Walker at memverse.com has issued an open invitation to everyone who has memorized 1000 or more Bible verses to come to Indonesia in January 2018, in order to meet with other such Scripture memorizers from around the world. For more information please see Phil's blog entry at www.memverse.com. :-)

how do I make the print bigger
Thank you for all your hard work on this very ambitious project, Christy! When I was New to ST I was like a kid in a candy store and joined too many interesting groups; before long I'd made a big mess with duplicate Scriptures all over the place. A comprehensive group of verses is a great solution. Thank God for your brilliant son, too!
please join my group named love ❤️!!!!!!!!!!!my name is Ana.

Hi Purpose! Romans 8:28 isn't missing from mine so maybe a glitch in your download. I think if you try downloading the whole chapter again, it will probably pop up.
Hi everyone, Romans 8:28 is missing from the Romans 8 chapter and I am unable to add it it. I guess it has to be corrected by the person who made this board?

please join my group called famous verses
Thanks so much and please invite others!
Those are some great goals, Shannon!! And good job with the memorizing! I just joined your group!
Well actually, I want to help homeless folks and teenage moms and the people in jail. I think that too many times we look down on them and are content to preach sermons at them and don't love them. Jesus loves them though and we're supposed to be like Jesus. I think more people would believe that Jesus loved them if they saw that love reflected in our lives! Jesus had compassion on and helped the Samaritan woman, the thief on the cross, Zacheeus, and a bunch of other people who everybody else considered down and out. I'm writing a book about a girl who thinks her life in pointless and that God doesn't exist and so she does a bunch of super awful stuff. She comes to accept Jesus though after some Christians show compassion to her and aren't afraid to help her.
What do you like to do for fun? I like to write and I want to be a novelist.
Its going well. I've got the first chapter done and am five verses into the second chapter. I'm also memorizing a collection I created. it has some famous chunks of john in it and about fifteen verses from 1 Corinthians 1. It has the first fourteen verses of john, the passage about Nicodemus, and the stuff in chapter 10 about the good Shepherd. If you want to get the collection you can join my group Mission Outcast. Under group verses there will be an collection called Inspiring Passages. That's the one! Hope to see you there!😛
@Loved by Jesus: I'm skipping back and forth, trying to keep old passages reviewed. Also, I am trying to nail down John 10. How is 1 John going?
OK its me Shannon, I'm changing my user name to loved
Jesus so don't get confused. happy memorizing!😛
No, I'd be to scared to do bible bee and its in Texas and I live in south Carolina. what are you memorizing.
Hi Shannon! That's great that you are memorizing 1 John! Are you going to do Bible Bee like your friend this year?
Somebody, I think it was Noah, was talking about the Bible Bee. I have a friend who does the bible bee and she ranked second place in the nationals!!! and won $20,000!
Hey everybody! is this group still even active?

Hey Christy, are you around? Could you add Isaiah 32? Could you add the book of Jonah? Thanks!
Forgive my inactivity...bought a house...Ipad quite working..got out of the habit so working at getting back in the swing of things
Thanks, Susan. I just saw that feature pop up this morning. I like being able to do several verses at once. I think I'm starting to figure this out. 🙂
Hi LaVonne. With this app you can memorize as either individual verses or whole passages/chapters at once. The whole passage feature is only available after you have all the individual verses in that passage/chapter marked as memorized. After that has happened, just click on the first verse of the passage you want to review. A message will pop up asking if you want to review combined verses or individual verses. If you select combined verses, then you will be able to type in the whole passage/chapter at once without the reference prompts popping up in between each verse. Hope this helps.
Hi everyone. I just found this app yesterday. In the past, I've always memorized with time spent goals. I used 3x5 cards with dividers for daily, weekly and monthly review. I haven't figured out the best way to add chapters with individual verses yet. This group seems like a good place to start. I want to be able to review either individual verses or whole chapters at once.
Christy, could you add the book of Jonah? Thanks!
I just joined. Thank you for compiling this. I was looking for the book of John but could not find anyone who had compiled it so it tried this group. This will be my place to look for the books of the Bible by verse.

can you please join my group it is called casas family 2
My favorite starting points would be 1 John because it is so rich in theology. Proverbs is incredibly interesting. For me, I began with verses already familiar like John 3:16, Ten Commandments, Our Father, Beatitudes, etc
Well, if it were me, I guess I'd start in the New Testament, in one of the Gospels. Maybe John 3? Because that chapter has a storyline, it's easier to memorize, but John 3 is also full of great doctrine. I think focus more on memorizing individual passages or chapters rather than books. At least, that's been what's worked for me. What do the rest of you think?
Very excited to find this group. New to memorizing verses and see the list is currently quite broad. Is there a best place to start like Genesis and work my way through or is there a better system?
Thank you! That was lovely!
Praying a blessing on your new home, Christy, that God will bless it and bless your family in it, that those who enter will feel God's peace upon it, and that it will be a beacon of God's provision and love in your neighborhood. "By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches." (Proverbs 24:3-4)
Thank you, Christy! I am finding this group a real blessing! ❤️ It is keeping my memorizing organized! Thanks so much for setting this up! 😊
Got them added, Susan. Welcome SavedByGrace! I hope you all are having success and reaching your goals. We have moved to our new home so some weeks have been more successful than others. Just keeping at it.
Wow, I really appreciate the idea of this group! Great idea, and amazing work so far. Keep it up!
Christy, could you put on Zechariah 1-4? (Or at least 4?)
Really trying to work on memory this summer! Catch up on old-- learn some new!
I added Deuteronomy 5. if you have memorized the Ten Commandments in Exodus, it will be easy to add lots of verses in Deuteronomy 5.
I will work on it Wordbird
Hi Christy, hoping you might be willing to add some more chapters in Isaiah -- specifically, Isaiah 43, 53, 54, 60, and 61. Thanks for considering!

Okay, summer is almost here! Yay! More free time to memorize. I have a goal -- to memorize the book of John by the end of the summer. I have memorized big chunks of it in the past, but never made it all the way to the end. So THIS is the summer for that to happen!!
simi.....so what version do you use?
URGENT!! I seriously have to WARN YOU!! The KJV BIBLE has been CHANGED! (Look up the #MandelaEffect) The Lords Prayer in the KJV is not correct anymore in the KJV (how we remember "tresspasses" changed to "debts" and "those who tresspass against us" changed to "our debtors" and "ON earth" in Mt6,10 changed to "IN earth" - look it up!!!) and John8:32 has changed, as well as Isaiah11,6 changed from "Lion and Lamb will live together" to "Wolve(s) and lamb will live together" Check out the Mandela-Effect-Wiki for more Information! http://mandela-effect-wiki.tk See here the page concerning changes in Bible-Translations: http://mandela-effect.bplaced.net/doku.php?id=changes_in_bible-translations_overview PS: i'm not joking, i'm totally serious! PPS: even wikipedia censors this topic... (see discussion on startpage in the wiki)
-btw. no, you cannot go to some original manuscript and look at Isaiah11:6 - it probably got changed as well. This might as well be the deception spoken of in 2Thess2 and Mt24 and also the fulfillment of the Prophecy in Amos8,11-14
hey guys pls join my group it's called- hide them in your heart :)
Thanks for asking. He spent three days in the hospital. So far so good in managing things at home since then.
How's your 4-year old doing, Christy?
I have researched and studied extensively. The best solution is to study from various perspectives. Look at things from Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, and even secular points of view. Because history isn't a bunch of facts as much as various perspectives of people who wrote or told about these events. If you are concerned about the KJV translation, learn Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic to read the original manuscripts. We have access to so many documents through the Internet and this is a fabulous time of history to live in. Blessings, Christy
@christy - no you dont get the seriousness of what i mean! check the page out please, i found more things that have changed - and i'm not speaking of personal preferences regarding translations. Please do research on the #mandelaeffect and you'll see that it's horrible what is going on. Thanks for doing research on it before replying. Greetings Simon
simi.... there are lots of differences in interpretation and translations. The initial KJV had many errors so revisions were made. We all have our personal preferences regarding translation. I use NASB. I also sometimes memoirs the same verse in different translations because sometimes a synonym can add to my understanding of a passage. look to the Holy Spirit for guidance.

Goals are a good idea.... I guess I never really thought about weekly Scripture Typer goals-- I just have had a general goal to try to get caught up, but I've been kinda going backwards recently. Maybe my goal is to at least stay caught up with the verses I'm not behind on...., and then try to catch up a little extra on days that I have more free time.
Last week, my goal was to add five verses a day. I exceeded my goal so this week my goal is 7 verses a day.
How do you make and meet goals in Scripture Typer? Our family has a meeting each Sunday to make the next week's goals and discuss the previous week's goals. Sometimes it is a goal to reach the next level, catch up on review or add a particular passage or specific verses.
That's great! I homeschooled, too, for a few years. But middle school is an especially valuable time to invest in doing that!
We are partial homeschoolers. I homeschool David the oldest and allow the younger ones go to elementary school
Great Wordbird! Let's not get discouraged on our reviews. Just think of it as a chance for accumulating lots of points. And more time in His word.
Noah and Starwars, I am so impressed by you both! I used to teach Bible to grades 3 through 6, and thought my students had memorized a whole lot of verses, but you both have them beat! You are doing super great!! I wish I had known about Bible Bee when my own kids were your ages, but they are just a smidge too old now (in college). Are you homeschoolers?
Also, I really like the review strategies you mentioned earlier in your posts, about how to review without retyping in every single reference. It makes reviewing so much faster and easier. I was so far behind on all my review verses, and somewhat discouraged because of that, but am starting to get a little bit caught up by using that strategy!
Thank you for the welcome, Christy! And great insight re. Exodus 3! I had to go back and check out that chapter, too, and you are absolutely right. That is the great thing about memorizing! Things pop out that we might not notice otherwise, if we just read something through. Those verses in Exodus 3 are now on my "things to memorize next" list (along with lots and lots of other things....).
nice point Christy, i got the app it is very good! Got a lot of verses to review :)
I was memorizing some of Exodus 3. It is interesting that God did not speak until Moses looked. That is applicable to us. We need to be looking for God to hear Him speak.
My iPad charger stopped working so I have not memorized additional verses lately. So glad to have a new charger and get back to it. Congratulations Noah!
How is memorizing today, Christy? made it to level 20!!!!
great i have memorized 1,000 verses but have to review about 100.Thanks.
Hi Noah! I made level 50 and number 24 in the current verse rankings. Exciting! How is your memorization going?
Welcome Molly. Love that name. I had a great aunt who lived to age 104 and her name was Molly Narcissus
in march april or may for more information bible bee.org.
when will the study guide for Bible bee come out for 2016?
I have seen a little bit about Bible bee. Do you participate in it?
ok...thanks...do you know what the bible bee is?
I mastered Philippians 4 tonight. Lots of familiar verses! Noah, sure, I have a sore throat and not feeling much up to doing much else but Scripture Typer.
Could you add Exodus chap 10 i think it is the ten commandments.
Great work Noah...I added all of 1 John. Love it. I memorize all as single verses and once I have memorized a whole chapter, then I review them combined as a whole chapter.
It's so nice to see someone so young have such a love for God's words to us. :)
I *think* I understand. We can either choose to master them as single verses, ie Heb 1:1, 1:2, etc or as a whole chapter (or any range), ie Heb 1:1-14. But whatever we master them as is how they are reviewed. Right? So, for example, I can't master them as single verses, and then review them as a chapter. Right?
If you memorized it in verses or chunk you can not.
you can review a chapter if you masted it as one chunk before hand. Hope that helps.
Okay, I'm not seeing that option on the web app. So you are reviewing a whole chapter, but still as single verses? Okay. Maybe it's just the clunkiness of the web app (reviews were much easier on my iphone) but I prefer to review the verses combined. :)
i love 1 John 1:9 dont you.
Mary, in my iPad, I tap on the first verse of a passage and it gives me two options, single verse or review all combined. The delay is helpful because if you realize you only got 89% and you want to quickly redo the verse then just a swipe right with your finger and you can have a second shot without starting over. To each his own, but I tend to make lots of mistakes towards the end of a long passage. I love that I can memorize the chapter but still take it a verse at a time.
Noah, we had a memorizing marathon as a family last night and I added 42 verse. Our rules were 1 point for each one added and each two reviewed. Fun!
Christy, I'm not seeing the feature you speak of, to be able to review all verses as a chapter. I can only assume that you mean I can review a whole set of verses together when I go to, say, "hebrews 1" and select to review all. But still, they are reviewed as single verses and there is a delay when advancing to the next verse.
Christy, I didn't realize I could review single verses as a whole chapter. I will see if I can find that feature.
how is memorizing Christy?
Another tip, you don't have to wait to review verses. I like to review 3-10 days ahead of time. I still get 25 points for all verses current. and sometimes if I review early in the day and later in the evening I will get two 25 points a day
Mary, you can review the single verses combined as a whole chapter. It is truly the best feature on Scripture typer.
That's really awesome that you guys dedicate 1-2hrs to just reviewing. I am sure one you invest so much time memorizing, you don't want to lose it.
Christy, I'm currently only using Scripture typer for review. I don't learn as well with the typer mode as I do on my on orally. Like you mentioned, I learned pretty quickly that it is easier to review the verses as whole chapters. So that's what I've been doing. Unfortunately, it makes it hard to participate in all the groups when I don't review them as single verses.
the battle for the #2 and #3 spot is ten yr olds. Awesome guys!
hi Noah""""we're curious your age. My older boys are here ages 12 and almost 11
i review mine about 2 hours every day, doing about 75 verses reviewed.
they are easier to add individually and then you can click on the menu in the chapter for the review combined option. You can swipe right to review a verse again if needed.
but just the review portion only about 15-30 minutes. Reviewing a chapter combined is much faster than 20-30 individual verses
I really enjoy it so I am usually doing thirty minutes morning and evening and while the little ones are napping or waiting for kids at taekwondo sometimes an hour or two.
So do you aim for about an hour per day for review? Or does it take more than that?
I have them spread out pretty well. I can do about 80 verses an hour.
How long does it take you to review that many verses Christy?
Welcome Michelle and Havilah!
i will join welcome new members.
Noah can you join my group memorize ecclesiastes
Thank you Noah for being our welcoming crew! Glad to have you with us, Emma!
New Testament completely added. Woohoo!
Great to have you with us, Hannah! I have the rest of the chapters of revelations to add and then I will be starting with Genesis of the Old testament.
Welcome Qianat! Great work everyone in mastering and reviewing your verses! Adding 1 and 2 Peter as well as Revelations to complete the additions of the New Testament. Not sure if I will tackle the Pentateuch or Prophets after that. Does anyone have a preference?
yes...welcome aboard, Noah!
welcome Janette and others. Glad to have you with us!
Welcome Glenn! So glad you joined us!
