Would you please pray for the Dolce/Glaze family? My 1st husband and of 26 years and father of my 9 children went to be with the LORD in 2013. My adult children have been upset that I remarried someone who was a friend of their Dad our family. Recently they've spoken lies about us to Children's Services in order to get custody of the 3 remaining minor children. My youngest was 2 years old when I married this man and thinks of him as his dad. The 3 youngest were taken and placed in foster care while 2 adult siblings try to get custody. This is a very sad and stressful situation. Thank you for your prayers.
Sincerely,
Mary Glaze

URGENT!! I seriously have to WARN YOU!! The KJV BIBLE has been CHANGED! (Look up the #MandelaEffect) The Lords Prayer in the KJV is not correct anymore in the KJV (how we remember "tresspasses" changed to "debts" and "those who tresspass against us" changed to "our debtors" and "ON earth" in Mt6,10 changed to "IN earth" - look it up!!!) and John8:32 has changed, as well as Isaiah11,6 changed from "Lion and Lamb will live together" to "Wolve(s) and lamb will live together"

hello everyone. r there still people in this group. I just started yesterday and memorized acts 1:1-2. how is everyone doing with memorizing acts?
Hi, I'm also new on this, but welcome to the group
Actually I meant Acts! lol (Yes I'm doing Romans, also.) Anyway, have a good Monday!
Good morning everyone! I just joined last week. Romans is a favorite book of mine. Have a productive day!
Hi Everyone,
My name is Rebekah and I just entered the group today. I would like to wish you all a happy Sabbath, and blessings from the Lord.
God bless
Rebekah Spencer
@Kaylee04 Just click on Verse Collection that you want to memorize and there is a select dropdown that gives you the option of whatever version you want to memorize.
I use NKJV, how can I add it
@ Rachel Perry Tell the experts about the problem
@Sara Kroneck Hey! thanks so much for the instructions
Hi Kaylee, there should be a little button that says "Join" near where it says "Acts: The Revolution" and the picture. If you click on that button, it will add you to our group. Welcome to the group!
I would like to join your group, so how can I join your group
Hi i am memorizing Acts because i do Bible quizzing. If you do not know what it is ask me :-)
Hi everyone! I am planning (Lord willing) on writing about book about memorizing Scripture. I would like to include some of your tips and testimonies to encourage my readers. I have a forum here that you can answer some of my questions, in the hopes of benefiting my future readers. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1PWlE8XDune0oge-V4lary_7DOGOeld66s28Ck7eOroE/viewform?usp=send_form Thank you so much for taking the time to be a blessing and an encouragement to those who desire to pursue the knowledge of the Lord through the habit of memorization.
Hey there ;) I'm new and I need friends. Please pray for me.
@Josiah, Thanks for letting me know :) Glad they are back now.
Sara: Yesterday I was planning on doing the same and reviewing the first few chapters but ran into the same problem. So I asked Sean about it and he added those chapter collections back. It should be all set now.
Does anyone know why the collections for Acts 3, 4, and 5 not in the TVS version are missing??? I would like to re-add them in NKJV, but they are not there to add.
Morning fellow memorisers. Like you all I want to memorise this book and retain it. In my hunt for the best way to approach this I came across this book written nearly 100 years ago by a man who actually memorised the whole Bible...it is very comprehensive, though not long, and I am sure you will all gain someting from it. You can view it free here http://memorizethebible.com/ Press onward toward the goal. :)
Hi Stormer! So glad you joined us! :)
Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! I am stormer. I am new around here.
Yes this is actually a bug fix; it wasn't intended that the system would give checkmarks in Memorize It mode. You must Master verses initially, but then you can use Memorize It mode for review if you prefer.
@Brett, thank you. I'm assuming that is a new change now that a verse must be typed in master it for it to be counted as memorized or up-to-date? I thought before you could type a verse in memorize it and it would be counted as memorized or up-to-date.
I just updated the website with a bug fix. There was a problem with the message displayed after successfully completing a verse in "Memorize It" mode. New verses must be typed successfully in "Master It" mode before they will be checked off and added to the review cycle. Everything should be working properly now. So sorry for the trouble.
@ Sean, thanks for looking into it. I didn't know you could make verses be marked as memorized in master mode. I tried that way back when I first got on ST, but I don't remember it working for me... or do you mean to be marked as current?
have another friend with the same problem... didn't work for her even in Master mode. and she tried multiple computers. But when I signed in to her account on mine, it worked. working on this... :)
Okay, so I did two sections of Acts 14 with the "Memorize it" mode, and I selected it the new way with NKJV. The page says "looks like you've got this one memorized" when I finish, but my verses memorized don't change and the new ones don't show up in my "review section". What is wrong?
Has anyone on here recently added me as a friend? I got a friendship request yesterday, but there was no name; it just said " has requested to be your friend on Scripture Typer". I have no idea who that is or if I should accept or decline. :)
I love the update!!!!!! :) And I especially like the fact that the "section titles" are gone from the verses when I do it this way, so I won't have to go in and delete them manually!!! Thank you!!!
FYI there's a new translation selector on the flyout where you select your collections. You can also now type sequential verses as one long passage for review. Just click on any collection with sequential verses and look for the "Review All Verses Combined Together" link at the bottom of the pop-up. Please note, the link only appears after you've memorized the first two sequential verses in a collection. Happy Memorizing!
@ Seán, thanks for the offer! I don't think I need to do that right now, but if I do, I'll let you know :) Also, thank you for having the "dramatized" Acts available to download from your blog! It really helps to listen to the dramatized audio, even if it is in a slightly different version. :)
Hi Sarah, I remember how to convert easily to your preferred version. On the website, near the top choose the 'scripture memory' button to the right of the 'home' button, a menu will drop down. Click on 'preferences' on the bottom left. The second item is 'prefered translation'. Choose yours from the list provided. Next tick the box underneath which says 'Auto-Convert my verses to this translation'. Go to the bottom left and 'save preferences'. Now whenever you choose a collection on the site it will be converted to your favourite version. Happy memorising.
@Sara, Just have to delete the subtitles manually... That's what I'm doing for James. About the verse arrangements, I mean that if you are memorizing certain chapters of Acts for Bible Bowl for instance, and you have the verses broken up into chunks of different sizes/arrangement than we have here, I'd be happy to get your chapter added to the Acts group so others working on the same can memorize together, and still be part of the group.
@Kerrilyn Thanks for the suggestion. I did that and selected NKJV and also the auto-convert option. The weird thing is that it didn't change the chapters I already have selected from here but when I selected another chapter that I didn't have before, it was automatically changed from KJV to NKJV. So I guess I'll maybe just delete all the chapters I haven't memorized and then re-select them from here and that should do the trick. I wonder if that is the system update Seán was talking about or if that feature has been there all along. But the only bad thing was that when it converted to NKJV it put all the section titles in there, too...i.e. "Ananias Baptizes Saul" before that passage and so on. I really don't want to have to memorize where those are in the chapters. :-/ Hmmmm. Got any ideas?

Thank you Kerrilyn and Seán! Unfortunately I don't have an iDevice, so can't do it that way. Looking forward very much to the system update!! It sounds much faster, too than editing each verse with the app. :)
@ Seán, what do you mean by "other verse arrangements in your collection you would like recognized here"?
There is a much easier way to convert on the way... A whole collection at a time. Supposed to go live this week. You'll be able to add any collection, and simply select which translation you would like it converted to, right at the start. Having said that, if you have other verse arrangements in your collection you would like recognized here, you're talking to the right person. :)

Yes you can do it in NKJV. I know James has. He will be back on ST on Monday if nobody has come to your rescue before then. I know how to do it on the app verse by verse group using the edit button under the tick on the left hand side when you chose a chapter collection in my verses but I am wondering if there is a quicker way.
The other thing is if there is going to be a group of you coming here wanting to learn it in the NKJV it might be worth finding out who the admins are so that you can add your editted chapter collections to the group with the NKJV tag on them. Or maybe we should get James to do it since he has already editted the first 15 or so chapters to NKJV. Happy memorising :)
Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if I would be able to add some chapters to the collections in NKJV? Probably in the two verse format. Pathfinder Bible Bowl is on Acts and Thessalonians this year, which makes me very thankful for the chapters I did memorize but wish that I had stuck with it all the way so that I would have known more! But since the version used is NKJV, I would rather memorize certain parts in that version than the KJV. Let me know if that is something that I can do. Thank you!
I think at least a quarter of us are, maybe more. I don't know about the rest.
Are you all Seventh Day Adventist?
Hi this Michaela! How was your day going on? Christella?
The Android development tools have been difficult to work with. It's still probably at least 12 months out.
Will the offline mode be part of the Android app you're working on? Any idea when that'll be available? Keen as for that!
The iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch app is the only offline capable version of Scripture Typer that we have at this point. I do have long term plans to create a PC/Mac version. Thanks Lesa for letting me know you're interested in it.
Is it possible that there could be made available an offline version of ScripureTyper for computers too? I don't know if that question could be answered here, but I thought I'd ask!
Hmm, thanks. That makes more sense that he was actually talking about Joshua, rather than Jesus.
Yes, I did notice how abrupt he was in verse 61. I know I've read AA, but I'd forgotten that insight into the story.
You're right, it would've been fascinating to hear his whole sermon. Maybe one day? I wonder if he'd remember it, if we remember to ask?
Oh, I see what you mean now. Hmm, yes, interesting question. I just now looked up the verse in several other translations, and here is what I found: "And our fathers brought the same tabernacle and carried it with Joshua to the land that God had given them as an inheritance from the nations which he had driven out from before them, and it was carried until the days of David..." (That was taken from the Aramaic Bible in Plain English, 2010, but most other versions also echoed the same general idea.) First of all, Jesus and Joshua were translated from one Hebrew word - Yeshua. That's why some Bibles say Jesus, and others Joshua. Then the phrase "possession of the Gentiles" apparently means that it was just carried into the land of the Gentiles, (whom God drove out of the land), rather than the Gentiles actually possessing the tabernacle. Does that make sense?
As for what maddened the Jews, I love the extra insight that Ellen White provides into this story. Have you noticed how abrupt Stephen sounds in that verse, "You stiff-necked..."? He had just been telling the history of the Jewish nation, and building up to his point about the temple, and all of a sudden he changes course and starts rebuking the audience. EGW says that this change was because Stephen saw that his audience was so upset by his words that they weren't listening anymore. So he stopped in the middle of his sermon and rebuked them. Then his rebuke infuriated them even more, and so on. That makes me wonder...what would the rest of his sermon have been like, and what would he have said had he been allowed to finish??? I so wish I could have heard it!
Thanks, Rachel, though I think what would've really maddened the Jews was when he said that they were stiffnecked and always resisted the Holy Ghost, and didn't keep the law. I mean, they prided themselves on law-keeping.
Maybe my question was more, when did Jesus and the Jewish fathers take "the tabernacle of witness" into the possession of the Gentiles?
Hi Christella,
It seems to me that Stephen was referring in vs. 44 to the sanctuary that the Israelites had in the wilderness, that being the first earthly "temple" where God "dwelt" among His people. Then Stephen goes on to list other temples that were built for God throughout Jewish/Israelite history. Finally, he builds up to his main point - God doesn't need a temple in order for His presence to be among us, therefore without His presence, the temple is meaningless. I would say that he was probably intimating that God's presence was absent from the Jewish synagogue where he was preaching, and that's why the Jews got so angry.
Was just reviewing chapter seven and once again was intrigued by verse 44. Thoughts anyone? What do you think Stephen was talking about?
I did delete them and re-add them from the this collection so they would be in NKJV. But they were selected from this group.
Only verses that you select from this group will be counted. There were a bunch of deleted verses in your account. Did you delete and re-add some of the Acts verses? The group only tracks verses that were selected from this group.
I've only have acts verses current and I have 423 verse current. Why isn't it showing up on Acts: The Revolution...is under way? It only says 362 verses.
Thanks...
No, chapter 8 is there, it is just at the end of the line above Acts 9, 1, and 2.
Awesome! Thanks! Is it just me that can't see it -- or is chapter 8 missing from the main collection on this page?
Woohoo! We're on the homeward run now! :D
Is it possible for the last five chapters to be added?
Thanks, Sara. I wondered if it might have been a problem with the chapter on this page, but now that I have deleted and re-selected it, it is all there, after all. :)
I don't know of a way, Christella. This happened to me with chapter 2, and I finally deleted the whole chapter 2, then re-selected and re "memorized" the chapter. It takes away your review days that you have built up, though if you do that and you will have to review the verses more frequently at first to keep them current.
Hmm... I was about to go and review chapter one, but it appears, that collection is missing the first 11 verses. Is this able to be corrected? Thanks! :)
Sarah K.~ Thank you so much! Maybe I should have been more specific: On the far-left tab above, it's "Memory Verses". Whenever I tried, it had group rankings, which I don't think anyone really cares about. But when I tried it the way you said, it worked! I don't know how it's different, but thank you!
@ On-Christ-the-Rock, I'm assuming you are asking how to make your own ScriptureTyper group? I am not the one who created this group, but if you hover your mouse over the Scripture Memory section on the top of the page, click on the link for Bible Memory Groups. Just below the group rankings there is a big link that says "Create a Memory Group." That will take you to the page where you can create your group.
Hope this helps and happy memorizing! :)
Excuse me; I'm not in the group, but I have a question. The tab on the far left is all the memory verse collections, but when I try to make a group, it always just has the group rankings. How did you do that? Thanks.
The loading problem seems to have been resolved, because it took only 6 seconds for the group page to load. Thank you!!
Thanks everyone for the feedback! I was thinking that it had something to do with traffic on the website, since I could pull up a different website at the same time, and it loaded fine. And I knew it couldn't be my internet as I am using high-speed. And yes @Wanda, I too was getting quite frustrated when I was trying to review verses, and had a limited time to do it! :)
Thanks everyone for letting me know about the trouble. We've had a big increase in traffic on the website. I'm working on making things more efficient, especially with the group pages.
I have the same problem Lesa. I thought it was my computer or else our satellite internet. It is frustrating and takes a long time to review verses. Sometimes I just have to walk away and do something else :-)
Hi Lesa, What kind of internet access do you have? We have satellite, but I have noticed that the group page takes a really long time to load. (Other group pages "behaved" the same way when I clicked on them.) I haven't seen that with the verse section pages, though. I just counted and it took 3 seconds for the page that you choose which way you want to type the verse to load, then about 4-5 seconds for my choice of "Master It" to load. The group page took 48 seconds to load. As far as the typing pages go, when I use the computer at my dad's office which has high-speed access, the loading time is quite slow when I'm typing. At home where the speed is a little slower I have no problem with the letters loading immediately as I type!!! Maybe it is the computer itself. OK, this is getting way too long, but to sum it up, "Yes I have had the same problem, but only with the group page" :)
Yes Lesa, that has been happening to me as well.
As of late Scripture Typer has been loading very slowly for me (the pages that is). Has this happened to anyone else? The group page took about 60 seconds to load, I believe. And the typing pages have been slow also, sometimes taking even longer than that to reload after a verse has been typed. I was wondering if it was just me, or other people were experiencing this also.
Sorry for the delay Elyssa - Acts 17 and 18 are now up. :)
So glad you joined us SavedByGrace! Thanks for your prayers and encouragement. :)
Is the KJV-TVS for chapter 17 up? I didn't see it...
Wow, this is a noble goal! I'll pray that all of you memorize this great book by your deadline! I'm planning on memorizing Acts sometime in my life, along with the rest of the Bible, if I can. I want to use my short life to its fullest for the glory of God! I'm so glad to see that there are so many others similar to me! God bless! :)
I noticed first-hand this morning the effects of sleep (or the lack thereof) on memorization. Well rested and focused, it takes me 7-8 times, on average, to memorize 4-5 verses. Not rested, it took me more than 13 times and the connections are still a bit fuzzy. That sleep is important!
Oh sweet! I just noticed that someone posted chapters 16-17. THANK YOU, whoever did so!!!!! I've been swamped, and had just been wishing for a bit of help. :) Before we call, He shall answer. :) Thank you once again! Bless you! ^_^
It has been hard and challenging to keep up, but I have been faithful! I've got Chapter #14 down this morning (offline). I'm behind on review, choosing to go forward to keep the schedule if I have to choose between review or new memorization. It's easier to rememorize older texts, though. Whew! What a challenge this has been, yet such a blessing in so many ways. My memory has certainly improved and, even more, this has been a tremendous blessing in exercising self-discipline, which I have seen trickle over into many other areas of my life. Hang in there each of you and keep pressing forward!
One more problem I thought I'd add as a separate post is with the pdf memory cards. For some reason they only show part of the section instead of everything.
For example, the section for Acts 2:6-11 reads
"...parts of Libya about Cyrene, and", and it stops there without having the rest of the verse. Any other ideas?
PS isn't Scripture Typer so much fun??
I accidentally deleted the sections for Acts 2:1-11 in my collection while trying to fix the problem of the later chapters showing up before the earlier chapter (by doing what was discussed earlier here on the wall). It didn't work to change the individual verse section names, but I can't change the chapter names because I don't have an iphone.
Anyway, when I tried to change the names, the verses also showed up under a new section "My Memory Verses". I deleted the two sections which were in "My Memory verses" because I didn't need them showing up there, but apparently they also got deleted in my Acts section. (Are you still following this?)
What I'm trying to figure out is if I can add those two sections back in, or if I have to re-add the whole chapter and therefore have to re-"memorize" the chapter? Anybody have a suggestion? Thanks
Hi Josiah, I tried adding the zero to Chapters 8 and 9, but it still doesn't put them in the right order. =\ Oh well, at least now it matches the others.
Shouldn't the group collections for Chapter 8 and 9 be "08" and "09" with the zero to match the other collections?
@Johann - There isn't a way that I'm aware of to mark current verses as memorized. For me, I'm working hard to memorize the verses orally. After I memorize a set, I'll then go unto ScriptureTyper and have at it again, typing out the verses once or twice (which marks them as memorized). For me, it's just another good way of deepening the memorization process.
BTW is there some way to mark the verses that you have memorized as memorized or do you have to type them all out on here... or does it really matter :D
thank you @Rachel for Chapter 11
@Gutenburg: Ah ha! Thanks so much. :)
Jenae: I don't see the capability on the website but on the iphone app if you go to "My Verses", click on the collection you want to change, and you will see an "Edit" button in the top right corner.
Ok I'm sorry, but I'm lost. I see an edit button for each individual passage section in the verse selection. But where is the edit button for the collection title?
Oh Rachel You are right! I should have thought of that when I started. Hopefully it can be changed. If not I guess we'll do a bit of extra scrolling. :) I also noticed that Acts in chapter 9:10-16 isn't capitalized. It's all still functional though. Brett, is there nd way to change these? =/
Thanks Brett! I feel rather silly...I just noticed that I could have done all that myself. haha I didn't see the little tiny "edit" button till now!
Rachel's right on about the problem. Instead of adding a 0, I just went in and added a space before the chapter number in chapters 1-9. Anyone else who would like for their verses to appear in order will need to do this to their own collections. It won't break anything, so feel free to edit the collection name. Everything will still stay in sync.

I see a slight problem... Is there any way to rename the memory verse groups? Because of how we've started (i.e. ACTS: Chapter 1, ACTS: Chapter 2, etc.), ACTS: Chapter 10 gets put next to ACTS: Chapter 1. The best way to remedy this problem would be to rename the groups for chapters 1-9, so they read ACTS: Chapter 01, ACTS: Chapter 02, etc. Can this be done?
A big thank you to Rachel for her willingness to step in and help keep this group steaming forward at full speed. :) You are appreciated!
Since Sean and Jenae have been really busy lately, it has been decided that I will help them out by posting the new memory chapters. If you are ahead and need me to post a chapter earlier than the schedule indicates, please let me know. My email address is on my profile. Thanks, and happy memorizing! :)
I'm having trouble opening the PDF memory cards as well. Anyone know why?
For some reason I can't open the PDF memory cards TVS, I can download them but not open them.
@Vangie, oh yes I remember you. That's why I have a bit of trouble using your aliases. :)
LOL Sean! Yes, there was 2-3 7 verse days. I blame them for being behind now! Oh well, good to hear that's not going to happen again. :) Btw, you do remember me, right? You know, as Chantee put it, the "Judith girl"? ;)
Brett: I see. :/
@Vangie -The review options only effect how often you receive e-mails. The review system itself works the same for everyone.
Hi Vangie! Was there a 7 verse day? :-o I forgot about that one. Promise there won't be more than two or three of those. :) The reason the verses per day vary is that many people find it better for retention (and for stringing together the whole thing later) to memorize in logical chunks rather than just a set number of verses. If you'd rather memorize in chunks of a similar size every day, you can load the TVS versions. (You'll need to do two chunks a day though.) :) Once we get to the second half of Acts, there will be no more long assignments like that in a day, as the schedule leaves less dedicated days for review, so we only have to average the three verses a day to keep up. (Right now with all the review days we have to do a bit more on the memorization days.) Does that make sense?
@Brett - Thank you! I went ahead and opted for no punctuation.. Just the act of typing is actually helping bring in the punctuation. I am focusing on oral memorization right now and switching to punctuation would be a bit challenging. I'll work it in gradually.
Hey Sean, how come you did 2 verse days before, and then suddenly you did 7 verse days??! I'm really curious! And I'd thought that it was 5 verses a day max....
And Jonathan... Wow! 99 WPM is a lot! Hehe, I noticed that about the average thing, and so I made sure I didn't get over-zealous. ;) But yes, I'm doing it with punctuation.
Brett - how come there is the option "No Review", but even when you do that, you still have to review?
James! Just relearn it. You can do it! KJV's easier to memorize anyway. ;)
Hi Jonathan, Welcome to the group! You can have the system ignore punctuation if you like. Just go to Scripture Memory->Preferences from the top menu. Blessings -Brett
By the way, a word to anyone just getting started.. don't get over zealous about that typing speed :). Apparently you need to get 80% or higher of your average and I thought I was being clever and started out with 99 WPM... Learned my lesson and I will slow down.
I'm new to ScriptureTyper.. It looks like a really interesting tool! I've been using just by Bible and repetition and, so far, I'm a day behind the schedule, with probably between 60-80% retention on each chapter. After 2 or 3 reviews, I can pick up most chapters again. I'd like to start bringing ScriptureTyper in as a tool.. the challenge I'm facing is punctuation! I've only been focusing on memorizing it for oral repetition, which means I'm doing rather poorly on "Mastery". Are all of you memorizing with punctuation?
You are most welcome Elyssa - so glad to hear it has been a blessing. :) Yes, and chapter 8 shall be coming soon in the two verse sections as well....
Is chapter 8 going to be up soon? :)
Thank you so much Paul! Memorizing two verses at a time with Scripture typer works so much better for me than 5. :-)
Hi Elyssa, thanks so much for the note. :) Chapter 7 is now up for all to use.
I don't see chapter 7 in the KJV-TVS... Are they still being added?
Hi James! You should be able to add those verses by going to the Scripture Memory drop down, and clicking "Enter or Import Verses." Enter the verses you want on that page, and they'll show up on your sidebar.
Try deleting the whole collection, then return to this group page and re-select the collection. Let me know if it gives you any trouble.
How can I add New King James Version, I've been learning acts using my NKJV Bible and know verses 1-8 so now I can't do this because its all in KJV and I have to learn it again!
Hi Rachel,
The average typing speed is only recorded when you type a verse in "Type It" mode. If you're using the iPhone app, it doesn't get recorded at all, since you only type the first letter with the app.
There's a typing class in a Christian school testing our group system for us, which is why we're showing the WPM.
So, why isn't the average typing speed showing up for some people? Just curious... Does anyone know how to get it to show up?
