When Trying Of The Faith Worketh Patience
James 1:2-6
2. My brethern, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not: and it shall be given him.
6. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a waver of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Christ Has Begotten US Again
1 Peter 1:3-5
3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
4. To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.
5. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time
Be Of Good Courage
Psalm 27:11-12
11. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
12. Wait on the Lord be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Your Hearts And Minds In Jesus Christ
Philippians 4:4-7
4. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6. Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.
7. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus
Jesus Heals A Man With The Palsy
Matthew 9:2-7
2. And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5. For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7. But when the multitude saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
We Should Love Everyone
Matthew 5:38-45
38. Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39. But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42. Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43.Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
44. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45. That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Example That Christ Is The True Son Of GodJohn 11:38-44
38. Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
39. Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42. And I knew that thou heardest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice Lazarus, come forth.
44. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him let him go.
He Want Let Us Go
John 10:22-30
22. And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
23. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
24. Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed me not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
26. But ye believed not, because ye are not my sheep, as I said unto you.
27. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30. I and my Father are one.
Standfast In The Faith
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
13. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
14. Let all your things be done with charity.
Death Is Swallowed In Victory
Isaiah 25:8-9
8. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
9. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
Praying for you Carol D.🤒
It was nice to meet you on Sunday Benjamin. Good to put a face to a name!
👏🏻this is for a certain someone
Had a little set-back, in getting sick.
Not long home from work. All caught up now. Thanks for checking in with me Wendy. hugs.
Done memorizing but still mistakes here and there. I need to review the chapter to retain it better
Good work Benjamin and Eleanor:)
amen. now the really hard work retaining it for life
and you too Wendy. And Eleanor and Benjamin and all... Wendy, I hope you got that babe placed in your lap so that you could bestow your grandmotherly love!
It seems that it's still showing you as having 0 verses memorized.
Are you typing it in your mobile/computer?
You have a choice to just type the first letter of the word...
I've finished this week's aim. I guess I'll make it, just not as fast as I thought or as I wished! 😅
Maybe someone could give you some help João?
Yes, keep going!
everyone...❣️
I'm persevering, but this is HARD work! Especially as you get close to 60! 😫
I hope school is going well for you Lauren!
Joao, I think it's referring to our spiritual Baptism too.
I have been memorizing in NIV. Does anyone know if it's possible to switch versions easily?
I have found that if I try to memorize the verses as a whole is a lot better for me as I try to type the whole word sometimes instead of the first letter at least I am memorizing.
I find that sometimes it sets your review quite a number of days apart, so on a few verses I requested a review every 2 or 3 days instead of the 10-day interval it set for me.
oh oh I hit something and it says I have done all the verses. I have only done 10
I have a question, see if you can help me. As I was memorizing verse 5 (one Lord, one faith, one baptism), I was thinking, WHICH baptism is meant here? The water one, or the spiritual one whereby we are immersed into Christ?
This is really great! I guess we don't see how each other is doing.
I hope you're enjoying it Carol.
Glad you find it helpful Wendy. nice to fall asleep with the Word running through our minds
great way to help me get to sleep
when does it start, or have the 90 days started already?
sounds good.
I hope you find the tips in the pdf helpful in memorization
not sure how I will make out but I am going to give it a try
