Wow, what an exciting day Saturday! What perseverance, courage, humility, love, encouragement and joy we saw! As we are memorizing "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to take the prize. Everyone who competes in the games trains with strict discipline. They do it for a crown that is perishable, but we do it for a crown that is imperishable." You train with strict discipline and self-control. Those trophies are perishable, when you are adults most of your trophies will probably be in a box in the attic, but we have eternal souls that will live forever! There is absolutely NOTHING more important than knowing the Great I Am, the Creator of the universe and of you! Not just knowing His Word, but truly knowing and living for Him! He says, His Word will not return void! What a treasure and amazing opportunity all of you have been given to have His Word accessible to you and hide it in your hearts! I pray NONE of you take it for granted but seek Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength through His Word! See you at the Cumulative! Keep up the strict discipline of hiding His Word in your heart!

My favorite is 1 Corinthians 2:9 "Rather, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him." I like it because it is a beautiful verse that reminds us to press on 'Toward the goal, toward the prize' of Heaven, and to work hard on what God has for us here on earth to receive a reward 'according to our labor'

FACT: The nails in Jesus’ hands probably went through his wrists and not in the center of his hands as is traditionally shown. That is because the wrist has a cluster of nerves and bone that could support his weight on the cross. The nail would rip through his hand if put through the center.

1 Cor 10:1 fathers >> forefathers
1 Cor 10:7 indulge in pagan revelry >> revel in idolatry
There might be a change to 10:7. On here it says "...indulge in pagan revelry." It looks like the newest version of the BSB says, "...revel in idolatry."
