hello everyone I am inviting everyone in this group who is active to my group I just made named Active members ONLY. I am hoping to make a very active group. I am a very active person and I go on multiple times a day. I wan to have this active group to be able to share stuff and get answers quickly and that when questions are asked they get answered too. we can memorize together in a healthy environment of people from all around the globe!! Looks like we have a number of newcomers to this group. Welcome! I've not kept up with this group as often as we have moved on to working on other passages in other books, but I'm thrilled to see others join in this endeavor to memorize or become much more familiar with the books of James, Philippians and more! We do have a few amatuer scripture songs for some of these verse or some other memory helps, so if anyone wants any of these, feel free to message me here or post to me directly (not sure if clicking on my name will do it) and I think I'll need your email address and I can send music files to you or other ideas. We have songs for the entire Sermon on the Mount (Matt 5-7) as well if that becomes a focus in your memorization of scripture. Enjoy the journey! His Word will NOT return void/empty! Learn it. Obey it. Use it. Let your mind be transformed and renewed by it!

Kelsey, Welcome! The system requires that you keep your verses current, so that you continue to brush up on the verses you've mastered. You can change your preferences to review less often if you desire, but if you are just starting out memorizing these verses, it is good to keep reviewing them every few days or at least once a week to keep them current. :-) Hope the songs help, too.

Well, I have been doing ScriptureTyper for a couple years now, and you just have to do them one by one. Then they go out of date and you have to renew the ones that you already have. So, a little tip from FlowerQueen, to start just get like say 20 verses and keep them up to date and memorize them. ( By the way, the very first number under the name is how many verses you have, you can see how many you need to get on top of the next person.)
i"m at #8 but its hard to get any higher and how do people get higher !!!!!

Is there any way to add Colossians as a book to memorize? That is what I would like to memorize next but not sure how or if you can add it.
Woohoo, everybody! Amelia so proud if you! You are really getting these nailed on ST! Now Eden and Maria better update :-). Some of ours are struggling to quote the whole book. Pray for us. We know as a group we've got it, but we all want to have it nailed down individually. Thanks for helping to keep us accountable and spurring us on, Alaina, and everyone! I know Jordan has plans to get on more this weekend when he can have bigger chunks of time. Then we'll need to really watch out. Probably the same with Christian. THey are memory FREAKS, when they put their mind and heart into it :-).

There seems to be a problem with the Philippians collection I originally posted to the group. There are several verses repeated. Like Philippians chapter 2:19 is listed by itself and then again as 2:19-20, I think. So there is accidentally being given double "credit" for the same verse. If I delete that collection and fix it, then you would each have to re-add it to your group collections AND you would LOSE anything you've already done on it. But that seems to be the only way I can do it as the administrator for everyone. The only other way is for everyone to edit their own Philippians collection to delete the individual verses that are repeated in a 2 or more verse set, as v. 2:19 was above. Which way would you all prefer to do it?
Hmmm. The heat is on, group! Let's see what we can do. Alaina has accepted my challenge. I'm going to try to race her. Anyone ready to take her on, too?? :-)

Amelia, Karen is a Sunday school teacher at our church who loves memorizing scripture and encouraging children to memorize scripture too. She has done some other memory work with us and she has joined us in our Philippians and James group, too. She is awesome! She provides some great competition and accountability to my kids and me! My kids like to razz her about being behind them and then she'll pass them and make them want to pass her. :-) You should try to pass her, too! she isn't too far ahead of you right now (currently you're 16 and she's 19). Then you can try to pass me again! :-) I'm up to 34 and am chasing Alaina again!
All right James, team, lets keep it up and conquer James!
