both reformed and catholic take the extremes. reformed say that God has already saved us and works are our way of saying thank you(James 2 goes strongly against this). on the other hand, Catholics say that God is a powerful God of cruelty. Who loves to see people suffer.(Ezra 9:13 goes against this)
