Thank you for that awesome verse. I hadn't memorized it yet and I memorized it in the King James version(KJV). I used to use the NLT. I remember when it came out. I was so excited. It sounds good. It's easy to read out loud. I know I know. But it butchers the Word of God. For example in 2 Timothy 2:15 the NLT takes out the phrase STUDY to show thyself approved and removes the part that says "rightly DIVIDING the word of truth" which I believe refers to dispensations.
Overall that verse almost makes it seem like salvation by works instead of the blood of Jesus shed on the cross.
There are so many other examples.The newer versions are corrupt. I know that now. The link below will explain it. You will need to cut and paste it into your browser.
