🌺 Happy Sabbath, everyone! 🙏❤
I am thankful for our good health, a loving church family, the blessings we take for granted such as plenty to eat, my sweet cat Pepper (14 now!), and God the Father Who loves us so much that He gave us Jesus to die for our sins so that we will not have to. And I love and appreciate all of the beautiful creation that God gave us to enjoy. Be blessed everyone! God loves you.
Verses from my review that put trials in perspective: Psalm 119:71, 75-76 KJV - "It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn Thy statutes. I know, O LORD, that Thy judgments are right, and that Thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. Let, I pray Thee, Thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Thy word unto Thy servant."

Memorizing the word of God is a tremendous blessing when we take it seriously! Here are some of my review verses this morning which include a few of my thoughts: Proverbs 28:2, 4-5 KJV - "For the transgression of a land [the US] many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge [Trump] the state thereof shall be prolonged [God is holding back the winds of strife until His Saints are sealed]. They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things."
Hi everyone! How are you doing with your memorizing? Are you continuing to instill the word of God in your minds? 😲🙏
🌺 Happy Sabbath everyone! 🙏😄🍂🍃
Some of my favorite verses: Proverbs 30:24-28 KJV - "There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces."
Our worship time today was so special. Besides the subject matter in the SS lesson and sermon, the man that tells the children's story had some friends bring their pet opossum for his Creature Feature. It was so fun to see that beautiful little animal! We always eagerly anticipate what interesting topic he will share. He has brought a small raccoon, a baby owl, and a pine (gopher) snake recently. What a blessing his presentations have been. And he knows all the Latin names!
Psalm 19:7-11 KJV - "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is Thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward."
Also: Colossians 3:8-13 KJV - "But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."
I had the delight of receiving counsel again through a few of my favorite memory verses this morning: Psalm 118:4-8 KJV - "Let them now that fear the LORD say, that His mercy endureth forever. I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

Why do beavers rest EVERY Sabbath? video on YouTube. A strange silence is observed over the Sabbath (Saturday). A hush falls over all their activities at sundown every Friday evening without fail. And this is regarding every beaver around the world, regardless of the season. Sunday mornings, they begin their work again. https://youtu.be/uZ-Sz7fLyf0?si=NeLvyc8eRwzBo8W9
I have several things to do on this Preparation Day: dishes and cooking, some yard work, and last minute bits and pieces. What kind of things do you have to do to prepare for the Sabbath of the Lord?
🌺 Happy Sabbath everyone! 🙏❤
Isaiah 59:17, 18 KJV - "For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon His head; and He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompence to His enemies; to the islands He will repay recompence."
I love the comforting message of these verses: Psalm 27:9-14 KJV say, "Hide not Thy face far from me; put not Thy servant away in anger: Thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. Teach me Thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."
🌺 Happy Sabbath everyone! 🙏❤🙏
Fountainview Academy choir and orchestra (from Canada) will be live at the Village SDA Church in College Place, Washington tonight. The program starts at 7 pm and may be LIVE on Blue Mountain TV or the HOPE Channel. You may also be able to see it on Youtube and Facebook. They have excellent music program! Then tomorrow, John Bradshaw will be speaking during the Gospel Outreach program (same church). Hope you can make it!
Ephesians 4:14-15 KJV - "That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:"
Happy Sabbath everyone! 😄
Memory verses for today: 1 Peter 4:16, 19 KJV - "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."
Sabbath is almost here in the Great Northwest! I really cooked up a storm today. I made lasagna, a green bean dish with potatoes (fresh pole beans from my garden), a tuna salad, corn on the cob and a veggie burger dinner for us three (my son, my husband and myself). I picked tomatoes off of my vines today, and with the ones that I had already picked, I made a homemade sauce that cooked for almost 5 hours. We will try it out on friends who are coming over for lunch tomorrow. Happy Sabbath everyone!
Irregardless of what the devil does to try to intimidate me (and others), I am established in the faith and settled in my beliefs, just as it says in 1 Peter 5:8-10 KJV - "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."
I love this verse in Matthew 28:1 KJV - "In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre." It very plainly declares that the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord, the true day of the Lord. Jesus rested on His holy Sabbath as He commands us to do as well.

❤ Happy Sabbath to those who appreciate the Ten Commandments! I am grateful for God's character written in stone which helps us learn how to be loyal to God and serve one another. 🌺
🎊Happy 4th of July!🎉🎇🎉🎇🎉🎇 I could not send this greeting if it had not been for the sacrifice of brave men who literally stood up to evil to obtain the freedom we now enjoy in this country. Their faithfulness is a reminder of how hard it was for the United States of America to come into being. Here is the story. https://youtu.be/YaxGNQE5ZLA?si=IP8Of2BRQUaKZvRT
Psalm 119:41-42 KJV - "Let Thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even Thy salvation, according to Thy word. So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in Thy word."
Isaiah 40:28-29, 31 KJV - "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Praise God, that He has helped me come to terms with my plain appearance. I did wear braces at one time for which I will ever be grateful. My straightened teeth helped me gain confidence. Because of sin, and our declining health as a result, mankind cannot always produce offspring that are beautiful to look upon. This makes me think of the story of the three worthies who remained faithful to God in spite of being captives in Babylon. They were chosen to be leaders, partly for their good looks, and bloodlines.
It is a blustery windy day today. A typical day in our area. I have to lead songs at church. My hair may be a shambles by the time I walk through the church door! 😒🙃
Deuteronomy 5:29 KJV - "O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep ALL my commandments ALWAYS, that it might be well with them, and with their children [future generations of the followers of Christ] FOREVER!" Here is one more scripture text that makes it evident that the 4th Commandment is still as legitimate today as it was back then.
Jude 1:22-23 KJV - "And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."
@All kids: June 12-15 will be the Amazing Facts Youth Conference. You can get all the info on the AmazingFacts.org website, and you can also access this on YouTube, in person at Granite Bay Hilltop SDA Church, and possibly on Facebook. Please pass this info on to your friends and family! 😀
I'm thankful that today is Preparation Day. It means God's true 7th-day Sabbath will arrive in just a few hours! It is a little after 12 noon here. I look forward to the high Sabbath we will get to enjoy in Jesus's presence throughout eternity. What a joyous celebration that will be from week to week! 😃
Jeremiah 12:5 KJV - "If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?"
Seventh-day Adventist. The name shares our belief that it still matters that we keep God's true 7th day Sabbath, and that it is important to God that we obey Him by keeping His commandments. It also shows that we are patiently but eagerly awaiting His 2nd coming and proclaiming His imminent return in glory to take His children home. There is a lot in the name.

PART TWO - God only asked for that one day to be sacred. And it has continued since the beginning of time (regardless of calendar changes that happened in the past), that we should continue to keep every seventh day holy as the Sabbath day. We will even keep the weekly Sabbath throughout eternity (see Isaiah 66:23). It was Satan who has attempted to usurp God's authority by setting up a false Sabbath on Sunday. He has always wanted our worship, and it is unfortunate that the Christian world has adopted this false Sabbath. Our church has been raised up to help people realize that this happened and asks people to come back to worshiping God on His appointed day of worship. We can worship him every day, but no day is the same as the Sabbath. It is holy. I am sorry this is such a long blurb; but I wanted to answer your question. You can email me at 3riversent@gmail.com for more information.
Hi Stephen. Sorry for such a late response. I have been so busy with many other things. But this is a very important question. PART ONE - The reason the Sabbath is so important it is that it is was set aside as Sacred by God at Creation. You can see how important it was to Him by reading Genesis 2:2-3. And there are many other places where He explains this in more detail (even in the New Testament). So it is sacred for everyone, not just for the Jews (even though many of them do not keep it anymore). It was man (the Commandments of men) who came up with the idea that worship should be on Sunday since they had gathered together to worship on that day way back when. 🙂 But as we gather for special events like 4-5 day camp meetings, revivals, etc, that does not make all the days sacred. They are not.
I am not SDA but do believe that the Sabbath was on Saturday and that nowhere did it change to Sunday. can I ask for some clarification on a point though?
In your guidelines you said that the first day of the week was never a day of worship? But there were times in the Bible that they did worship on the first day (and every other day of the week as well).
Are you just saying that they didn't regard the first day as the same thing as the seventh day Sabbath?
As Preparation Day commences, this is my prayer before we head into the Sabbath Day. Psalm 141:2-4 says, "Let my prayer be set forth before Thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties."
Some groups have gone silent, so I have just shared the following: "Many of us are grieved, and some are very disillusioned because of the school massacre. It was very sad, and is heavy on our hearts. I encourage you to hang onto your faith in God. We can't fully understand God's ways and why He allows Satan to do these kinds of things, but we can trust that He knows the end from the beginning. Satan is being allowed to show what kind of leader he would be on the Earth before the close of time. He knows his time is short and his leadership has been seen in many occultic events for a while now. God is asking people to choose whom they will serve as their leader. We must make the right choice. Please don't let Jesus have to ask you, "Will you leave me also?" Choose for you "whom you will serve this day." "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." When God's people are sealed, then Jesus can come and take His people home."
@Everybody: Time is very short. Things are wrapping up in the world very quickly. The devil is accelerating his agenda like never before. Make your peace with God and decide Whom you're going to serve. I'm talking to myself as well. Don't wait! 😔🙏
We stayed home today from church because of my husband's scratchy throat. Anyway, we just watched the powerful testimony of Dr. Phodidas Ndamyumugabe, originally from Rwanda. He has a PhD from Weimar University. His testimony is called "The Power of the Story." This was the second sermon for the TRIALS TO TRIUMPH program for the AFY Amazing Facts Youth Conference Day Two on YouTube. He wrote a book called "Preaching from the Grave," a book about the genocide of the Tutsis, and how he survived the slaughter only with prayer, and powerful answers from God. It's on Kindle as an e-book for $7.99 or you can visit PreachingFromTheGrave.com to order it.
I haven't read it. I've been very busy. Where did you get your info from? I can't give a qualified conclusion until I have read it, but it is too long for me to undertake at this time.
I don’t want to pressure you, but what do you think?
ok, thank you!! I have a lot to do today too. Hope you can do it tomorrow!…. May God bless you
@Anonymousey: You really went in depth in your guidelines area. I haven't read it all, but will try to read some more when I have more time. the Sabbath will be coming on before long and I have much to do on this preparation day. One suggestion: Definitely give credit to whomever you got your thoughts from. You don't want to be accused of plagiarizing.
