p.s there is a really good bodhrán teacher on-line ..Michelle Stewart . She is from Canada but lives in Scotland . She has lots of lessons on You-tube :-)
I am learning to play ukulele and guitar just to accompany myself when singing which is what I love mostly . I think Jen has got me mixed up with my twin-sister who is a trad-musician :-). She plays whistle, fiddle, guitar and banjo .My son is learning bodhrán :-) And yes, my name is of Irish origin meaning "dark-haired" (I have fair hair 😂).
I just discovered Keith and Kristyn Getty. I really enjoy listening to them and their family. We moved here from Texas but lived in a few other states as well. My husband and daughter play the Irish flute and Ciara is pretty talented herself on a few different instruments. 😊
hi Shannon , nice to meet you! I am from Ireland but have been living in a different part of the country from Jen for the last year or so! I am sure you know that there's a river in Ireland named "the Shannon" ..it is a lovely name :-) I hope you get to visit some day soon :-) Ciara
Hello, I am not from Ireland but have been here a few years. It’s a beautiful country. 😊
You are welcome Jen :-) Actually , the dialect here in Ring has pronunciation different again ! 🤷♀️ I just found it funny that "I hope " in English could be translated , in incorrect way , as "I have an eye" in Gaelic 😂 . yes , enjoying the weather , thanks and glad ye are too! It still feels cold here but good to see sun and clear blue sky !
I just added it. Thanks, Ciara. That’s a great verse. Thank you for the pronunciation. I was pronouncing the Irish one wrong. 😆 Hope ye are getting on well. Are you enjoying the lovely weather? We will go and be out in it again today before the cooler weather sets in again. Take care. xx
is the verse about Hope being an anchor for our souls in that collection ? I just had quick scan and didnt see it , not to say it isn't there . The Italian word for Hope is "speranza" (spare - an- za) :-) , for interest :-).
More relevantly, in Irish (gaelic):
"I hope" translates as :
" Tá súil agam"
(thaw sool a-gum)
The irish for "eye" is súil :-)
love the categories, so great to have verses to treasure for so many different areas of life.
I have added a few new verses in Hope in the Midst of Hardship. Do you have any favourite scriptures on hope you’d like me to add? During this time I am finding that meditating on His hope has been very helpful for me. Scripture say hope deferred makes the heart sick. Let’s make sure we are continually hanging onto His hope.
will do ..enjoy the beach when ye do get to go! I am enjoying the challenge of memorizing verses so thank you for inviting me ! love to all 💚☘💚
I’ve been thinking about you and having the boys home now. Hope you all stay well and don’t get too much cabin fever. 😊. We are going to try to go to the beach if we have any warmer dry days. Please tell everyone hello for us.
fab ..thank you ! I miss you too , could do with your home-schooling advice !!!! :-)
Psalm 91 lovely choice. It’s in He cares for us category. 😊
yes, of course my friend. I sure do miss seeing you. I’ll add it now. ❤️
Good day! May I request psalm 91 please as a collection ? Thank you!! 🙏❤🙌
Thank you, Loved by Jesus. God bless.
I have added a sub category in a Life of Worship called a Heart like David’s. I am really enjoying looking up scriptures about David and his life of worship. The first verses I added are Psalm 63:1-8. David wrote this while hiding from his enemies in the Desert of Judah. It makes me think about when going through the storms of life. Where is my focus during that season. Is it on the situation or is it on the Lord? The Psalms is a great book to read through and memorise. It’s very helpful in reminding us that God is bigger than any situation and when seeing it through the lenses of eternity the situation becomes a lot smaller.
I have added a sub collection of Paul’s Prayers to the Life of Prayer collection. Enjoy and be blessed as you memorise scripture. 🌸
Good morning, if you are active in the group and have any favourite scriptures you’d like me to add that would fit into one of the categories let me know and I will add it. 🌷 Romans 10:17
I have been thinking about a life of worship this morning and added a few more scriptures to that category. I have been thinking about heaven and reading about worship in the book of Revelation. What a glorious day it will be when we see our Saviour face to face and worship Him throughout all eternity.
Welcome to all who have joined this group. I really love to think and meditate on scriptures of Who God is and our relationship with Him. Blessings to you as you study and meditate on His Word.
