What's a 'counting' group or an ER passage?
Hi there! I'm 72 and live in Marysville, WA. I've been memorizing Scriptures for about the last 4 years or so. It took me 3 years to memorize Romans chapter 8, but I finally got it. I memorize out of the NKJV. I use biblememory.com. It's very helpful. There's quite a few that I review constantly. I like it that this app helps with the 'when' to review what. I would very much like to memorize with other seniors. That would be so great!

Whoops sorry, for the Qualifying test there are 200 questions in an hour. I was confusing it with the times and questions for Nationals. Just ignore me xD
Also, @Heaven, for the Qualifying test there are 150 questions and a 40 minute time limit :). I agree with Noah in spending as little time as you can on each question. Another good tip would be NOT to second guess yourself if you are sure on an answer for the question. Go with your gut! ;)
@Heaven, There will be no questions about the ER passages on the test. They are mostly relevant for Nationals. Many people who memorize them do it to get a head start for the Nationals season. :) If you plan on doing Nationals it would be a good idea to get started on them if you’d like, and this year we have much less time to study for Nats! It’s totally your choice, though. :)

I keep seeing people talk about ER passages. Do I need to memorize those, and will the Qualifying Test ask questions regarding them?

@Heaven F: There are usually five categories of questions on the test. The memory passages, Study passages (which for this year is Genesis 37-50), all of the Discovery Journal material, Cross References, and Hebrew/Greek words. The best strategy I can give you on finishing is to not take to much time on one question. If you are unsure, make your best guess and move on. Then when your done, if you have any spare time left, go back and review as many questions as you can. You can also divide how many questions you have into how much time you have, so you can sorta pace yourself. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!

Just FYI, the collection "2017 wk 1 DJ CRs" is all of the cross references mentioned in week 1 of the Senior DJ (some are still being added). Of course, now that they've released a list of cross-references for each age division...(which contains about a third of the CRs in the DJ), I don't know if it will be helpful or not, but I thought you might want to know what it is :)

No, she didn't. The other girl did though :) In last years' book (she's qualified like 6 times) she is page 12 row 3 seven people down. Her older sister has qualified a lot too. :)

She has not (that I know of), but her older sister was a Senior last year (Page 16, row 2, 3rd person down). Actually, you didn't delete it- I did :P
