In Psalm 119 the Psalmist declares, "I will delight in Your statues; I will not forget Your word." Memorizing God's Word is one of the most important spiritual disciplines in a believer's life, yet one that is often neglected.
So that we may encourage one another to memorize God's Word we are excited to launch the 9 Week Summer Challenge.
The 9 Week Challenge
This summer we are challenging everyone in the Watermark family to memorize Scripture. Over the course of the 9 weeks, we will focus on who we want to be as a church family as expressed in our core values:
1. Biblically Based (2 Timothy 3:16)
2. Fully Devoted to Christ (Luke 9:23)
3. Grounded in Grace (Ephesians 2:8-9)
4. Passionate about Prayer (Colossians 4:2)
5. Authentic in our Walk (1 Timothy 1:5)
6. Committed to the Uncommitted (Luke 19:10)
7. Relevant & Innovative (1 Corinthians 9:22)
8. Committed to Community (Hebrews 10:24-25)
9. Focused on Ministry & Service (1 Peter 4:10)
