Yes every day by the grace of God. 😀🙏
Hi everyone! How are you doing with your memorizing? Are you continuing to instill the word of God in your minds? 😲🙏
Review verses this morning: 1 John 3:22-24 KJV - "And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us."
I am tired, but much left to do before sundown. Encountered some draining events this morning. Your prayers of support would be appreciated. Thank you. Happy Sabbath everyone! 😲😌🙏
Some of my favorite verses: Proverbs 30:24-28 KJV - "There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces."
Our worship time was so special. Besides the subject matter in the SS lesson and sermon, the man that tells the children's story had some friends bring their pet opossum for his Creature Feature. It was so fun to see that beautiful little animal! We always eagerly anticipate what interesting topic he will share. He has brought a small raccoon, a baby owl, and a pine (gopher) snake recently. What a blessing his presentations have been. And he knows all the Latin names!
🍃🍂 Happy Sabbath my friends! 🙏😊❤
My husband and I have duties at church today. I will be leading both song services and he will be doing Superintendent remarks. It is becoming cool and foggy here in the Northwest. I do not think that the roads will be icy yet, but the days are coming. We have a 40 minute drive to church.
Psalm 19:7-11 KJV - "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is Thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward."
The Truth in our faith can be compared to the pearl in the following parable: Matthew 13:45-46 KJV - "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." It is more precious than gold, "more than much fine gold." Happy Sabbath my brethren! ❤🙏
A recent memory verse: Psalm 20:6-9 KJV - "Now know I that the LORD saveth His anointed; He will hear him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, LORD: let the King hear us when we call."
Proverbs 18:14-17 KJV - "The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge. A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him."
Two review verses this evening: Isaiah 40:3, 8 KJV - "The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever."
It is unfortunate that they will not teach students about Jesus Christ, a real historical figure. His ideas changed the course of the world, even if you look at His teachings from a secular viewpoint. No other person in history has made such an impact as Him, and people have written more about Him than any other person who ever lived.
I should say, the "important" historical things.
Probably much more complicated than when I was in school. You guys have so much more to learn. And if you are in public school, they are probably not teaching you true historical things that you should be learning.
I am doing well. And yourself? How is school going?

I had the delight of receiving counsel again through a few of my favorite memory verses this morning: Psalm 118:4-8 KJV - "Let them now that fear the LORD say, that His mercy endureth forever. I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

I like Pr Ron Kelly any time, but this YouTube video by him was exceptional! https://youtu.be/cAa9_XUuymU?si=UCvR0zG_aMn_C7C5
@Banderhorst: It was because of 8 blips like \n that appeared in the post from Lydia. I explained how that was happening under the Everybody post. 😲
could you explain it to me please 🥺
huh that’s interesting so sorry but I don’t understand the post that you posted to everyone 😬sorry
Why do beavers rest EVERY Sabbath? video on YouTube. A strange silence is observed over the Sabbath (Saturday). A hush falls over all their activities at sundown every Friday evening without fail. And this is regarding every beaver around the world, regardless of the season. Sunday mornings, they begin their work again. https://youtu.be/uZ-Sz7fLyf0?si=NeLvyc8eRwzBo8W9
Some of my review verses this morning: 1 Corinthians 13:1-7 KJV - "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things." I realize that I have failed miserably in following these admonitions. God help us all to learn these things while there is still time.
@Everyone: To avoid problems with sentence structure like the \n\n that you will see on here occasionally, after you have either written or pasted your comment, always space backward between words or punctuation, and then add a space. You will then see a difference in how your post appears. The algorithm that causes the blip was put in by the Developer to stop the cheating that went on for a very long time. This change was very much needed.
@Bert: Welcome! Yes you may. @Lydia: Welcome! Thank you for that lovely promise. One of my favorite. 😄🙏
ISAIAH 4o:31
HAPPY SABBATH EVERYONE.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. ”
Isaiah 40:31 KJV
You can type that word into your Google search engine and look at a picture of it. It actually is the bread that is topped with an Italian tomato mixture. It was very good. Today I finished preparing the eggplant for Eggplant Parmigiana that we will have for lunch after church tomorrow. It is also very tasty (we sampled 2 slices tonight)!
quick question what is bruschetta?
@Banderhorst: I see that you are becoming very interested in learning sign language. I want to encourage you to continue with your newfound interest, but your most recent sign is not recognisible to me. What letter is it supposed to be?
I am glad you had a good discussion and I agree with you that it is absolutely amazing
We had a good discussion in Sabbath School this morning about the first few verses of John 1. It was amazing how Jesus chose to cloak His glory and put on flesh so that He could live among men. He reached down to our level so we could come up to His; not to become gods, but to become Christlike so that we can have the hope of glory.
Sounds good! Cookies are way overdue in this household! Maybe next week... Today I prepared a tomato mixture for bruschetta for lunch tomorrow. We will also have potato soup and salad. After sundown, I plan to make the Eggplant Parmigiana I had planned for lunch tomorrow, but I ran out of time today. We like to reduce our labor during Sabbath hours so we can truly rest.
I made cookies for my cousins birthday today
I have several things to do on this Preparation Day: dishes and cooking, some yard work, and last minute bits and pieces. What kind of things do you Seventh-day Adventists have to do to prepare for the Sabbath of the Lord?
But I want to reiterate that we do not argue or debate who is right or wrong on here. I occasionally use quotes from EGW to back up my comments. So it would be nice to hear from others as well. 😀
👍 I hope everyone does not think this Message Wall is just for private conversations! It is a place for everybody to make comments and contribute to talks about SDA matters.
thank you they mean a lot to me (I know there not just for me but I still appreciate them very much)
Amen Marilyn I love it when you post those verses
The 2nd coming of our great God, the Lord Jesus Christ, will be with much noise, and everyone will see it. He will awake His sleeping saints (who have been asleep without the breath of life just like Lazarus), and will resurrect them from their Earthly graves (death is hell, not the eternal agony like unfaithful men preach) to meet Him in the air. There will be no secret rapture (a lie).
Matthew 24:27, 29-31 KJV - "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
I love that verse as well! "The father of lights" is one more example that God is our Creator. 😄
This verse is one of my favorites! James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above coming down from the father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change James 1:17
Some of my review verses this morning: Ephesians 3:16-20 KJV - "That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."
@Banderhorst: It is okay. I am not mad at you.😀👍
ok sorry for advertising I forgot that you don’t really like advertising on your group and I don’t blame you
@Banderhorst: I am not personally interested in learning to sign, but I am sure others who are will be happy to join your new group. I will leave your advertisement up for now.
@Angel: You are welcome! That is the whole purpose of the new Challenge guidelines. Since the Developer changed the way we rise on our group Leader Board, the current changes to the Challenge seemed to make better sense.
@Marliyn I read the stuff about the Challenge and I think that it will really help me to keep memorising cs I’m a little bit behind so thanks for the new motivation 😄☺️
I made the group it’s called Learning the Language
ok Marilyn maybe I will but it might be hard to show the signs by posting
2 John 1:6 KJV - "And this is love, that we walk after His commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it."
@Everyone: I had a little fun on here today revamping the CHALLENGE which is explained in detail at the bottom of the GROUP DESCRIPTION area. I hope you find it to be an exciting motivation for your continuing interest in scripture memorization. God bless!
@Banderhorstkidz: You might start a sign language group with a focus on learning signing messages of hope. This could be good for the deaf that come on BM as well.
1 Peter 4:16-19 KJV - "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."
1 Corinthians 6:2-3 KJV - "Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?"
ok I understand but do any of you know sign language? not because you can’t hear but because you wanted to learn it.
If you come here to learn, you can stay.
I do not know why you posted here. This is a study site, not a chat site for children.
Jesus gave up His Heavenly glory when He offered up Himself as a sacrifice for your ransom. So our response to Him should be like what the song called, "Give of Your Best to the Master," speaks of: Give of your best to the Master, give of the strength of your youth; throw your souls fresh, glowing ardor, into the battle for truth. Jesus has set the example, dauntless was He, young and brave; give Him your loyal devotion, give Him the best that you have."
Isaiah 59:17, 18 KJV - "For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon His head; and He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompence to His enemies; to the islands He will repay recompence."
@Banderhorst: No. I looked it up. Reminds me of the town that Christian visited with his friend in Pilgrims Progress. 🤔
Hi Marilyn I was just going to see if you had ever gone to Silver Dollar City?..!
1 Thessalonians 5:1-6, 8-9, 14-15 KJV - "But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men."
I came back to join this group if that is okay
I love the comforting message of these verses: Psalm 27:9-14 KJV say, "Hide not Thy face far from me; put not Thy servant away in anger: Thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. Teach me Thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."
Isaiah 58:1-2, 13-14 KJV - "Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."
🌺 Check out SabbathTruth.com. On there, many people give quotes about the true Holy Sabbath of God. Also watch on YouTube the Prophecy Odyssey seminar in New York with visiting Pr Doug Batchelor. I am watching the topic of the mark of the beast. Happy Sabbath, beloved. ❤🙏
PART THREE - At this very hour the spirits of devils are going forth to “gather” the nations for the last great conflict. See Revelation 16:14. But the message for God’s people is “come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing.” 2 Corinthians 6:17. - These three parts were taken from a post on Facebook by Ray Chehade.
PART TWO - “Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, shall it shall not stand: for God is with us. For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, Say ye not, A confederacy to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye, nor be afraid.” Isaiah 8:9-12; see also Isaiah 54:15.
PART ONE - ROME, and the churches linked with her in ecumenical alliance, will eventually establish civil legislation that will ultimately bring religious persecution upon all those who keep the Bible Sabbath, while the pope reflects on solidarity of Sunday observance, let us beware that we are not become part of the movement that will lead to the union of the human race against the God of heaven. May God help us to be faithful to His Word and keep His holy Sabbath day on Saturday, the seventh day, as He has commanded - even though you may be opposed by nearly all the rest of the world.
I hope you are blessed today as you PREPARE for the Sabbath TOMORROW on the seventh day, which is Saturday. May God be your close companion. ❤🙏
Mark 15:42, 45-46 KJV - "And now when the even was come, because it was the PREPARATION, that is, the day before the sabbath, And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph. And he bought fine linen, and took Him down, and wrapped Him in the linen, and laid Him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre." Mark 16:1-2 KJV - "And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint Him. And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun."
@Angel: Ignore JJ. He likes to mess with your mind. I am holding no grudge against you, Angel. We all have areas we need to work on.
Hey Marilyn,I hope ur doing well 😊,I just wanted 2 say that I’m really sorry for being rude to u in the past 😅my temper can get a bit crazy sometimes and it’s something I’m still working on ,I hope that I didn’t offend u and if I did I hope u can forgive me😅
Review verses this morning: Romans 3:22-24 KJV - "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:" John 14:15 KJV - "If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 15:10 KJV - "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love."
