A good method for learning one octraine at a time is writing the first letter of each word on a flashcard. You can progress to the first letter of each phrase or sentence once you're ready, and then without any hints at all. Psalm 119:33-40 was very easy with T G L I T C T B being the first letter of each sentence. Not every group of 8 sentences are as easy, but this method helped me.
