I'm hearing (not deaf) and I enjoyed the movie overall. If you're learning ASL you should definitely look into it.
Just watched the movie called "Jesus" by Deaf Missions. Through the whole movie all the actors used American Sign Language, including the actor that played Jesus himself! The movie has subtitles for hearing people. I forgot what it was rated, but it really did depict what actually happened to Jesus. I could see some similarities between the "Jesus" movie, "The Chosen", and "The Passion of the Christ" (besides that fact it's in ASL). Would recommend movie for adult deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing people that know ASL. Especially if they've never heard the gospel before. But if you're younger (like under 16 or so ect.) you might want to skip a couple parts, including the part of Jesus being whipped and crucified. Although the events were true and actually happened, those couple parts in the movie were a little hard to watch. Loved the movie overall. Especially since it can touch the hearts of deaf people who do not know Jesus or the gospel with the movie now in theaters. What a great way to spread the Good News!

Also, there's a different group I think (other than the people that make The Chosen or Angel Studios) that will be releasing the "Jesus" movie. I think the movie is about the life of Jesus, but everyone acting on the movie is deaf and uses ASL, even the character that plays Jesus. There will be captions on the movie when it comes out I think in April this year. You can probably watch a trailer of it on YouTube with captions. Its really cool
I think they are releasing like the first three episodes of season four of The Chosen in the movie theater. Then a while later, they will release the whole fourth season.
