Psalms 91: 9-10 [KJV] Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
Hmmmm….I don’t know what the Mandala Effect is, sorry.
Hey, I'm new here. What is this about the Mandala Effect? I believe in the KJV wholly and that seriously concerns me. :/
Please join my group national bible bee 2018. It is very active.
Please join MemorizeGod'sWordTogether, it is a very encouraging and active group. Thanks for the consideration!
William, I have a suggestion which will help the group in memorizing and attracting new members. Please consider dividing the books into chapters and the chapters into much smaller verse sections.
I enjoy memorizing--even whole books, but it is very difficult to type a whole book or chapter in one sitting. Even when reviewing, I like to review in smaller chunks.
I just now downloaded the book of Proverbs on my app & deleted chapters 1-14 since they are already in the group (chunk sections) and chapter 31 since I've already memorized that in another group.
If you desire to keep the book whole, that is fine, but if you upload separate chapters and verses for others it will be very helpful and easier for memorizing smaller chunks, too.
(That's true for all the books listed as well. I currently belong to 22 groups, but I don't necessarily select everything listed in a group, especially if I've memorized it in another group. I like memorizing books, but prefer very small sections at a time.)
In response to Peter, Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD,
hello everyone I am inviting everyone in this group who is active to my group I just made named Active members ONLY. I am hoping to make a very active group. I am a very active person and I go on multiple times a day. I wan to have this active group to be able to share stuff and get answers quickly and that when questions are asked they get answered too. we can memorize together in a healthy environment of people from all around the globe!! I would gladly promote anyone who has verses to add or just them for you if you tell me which ones. thankyou for your consideration for joining my group!! may the Lord bless you all!!
I am KJV AV only. I was interested to read about this Mandela effect? Does anyone else have a view? I trust the KJV with all my heart but there always seems to be something out there to spread doubt and confusion. I believe the KJV is the absolute truth. But I know strange occupancies are possible.
currently working on Sermon on the Mount, but NABre version. Hardest part is that I had picked up so much in KJV already over the years. Who can add the Gospel of Luke to the law st, for if I am to be a book in the human bible, thT is the book I wish to be.
I would love to see the whole book of Proverbs uploaded into single chapters with individual verses rather than a whole chapter. Also, I would consider trying some other verses from some books, such as Ruth or Esther, but I prefer much smaller passages rather than the whole chapter. (I don't always memorize a whole chapter, but maybe just certain sections.) I'm in no hurry, however, as I do have many other passages from other groups on which I'm working. Thanks so much!
Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
URGENT!! I seriously have to WARN YOU!! The KJV BIBLE has been CHANGED! (Look up the #MandelaEffect) The Lords Prayer in the KJV is not correct anymore in the KJV (how we remember "tresspasses" changed to "debts" and "those who tresspass against us" changed to "our debtors" and "ON earth" in Mt6,10 changed to "IN earth" - look it up!!!) and John8:32 has changed, as well as Isaiah11,6 changed from "Lion and Lamb will live together" to "Wolve(s) and lamb will live together"

My method of memorizing Proverbs
example Proverbs 1
1 memorize TTT TAT TMF MIL WCM FSA SWS HTB BIW TFT TFB (the first letter of each verse) I say it 40 times then set a time limit(11 seconds or 5.5 seconds)
2 repeat verse 1 forty times with no mistakes
repeat verse 2 forty times with no mistakes
repeat verse 3 forty times with no mistakes
repeat v.1-3 forty times with no mistakes
3 After doing all eleven sets of three verses I repeat the whole chapter forty times without mistake. A few years ago, I walked six miles every day. This walk was a good time to repeat a chapter forty times and to combine exercise with Bible memory. I repeated verses or chapters while stretching.
4 I am now in the process of repeating the whole book of Proverbs. My best confirmed recitation was 911 out of 915 verses recited with no mistakes. If I make a mistake I quote the verse forty times. Sometimes I will quote two or three verses together forty times if the mistake is that I quoted a verse in the wrong place.(For example: If the mistake is saying "unto" but I said "to" I will quote the verse by itself forty times.
If I quote TAT then verses 4,5, and 6 but quote another verse beginning with A and not verse 5. I will quote all three verses together forty times.
According to my experience it is better to maintain everything in my memory as I memorize new chapters. I will not memorize chapter 9 until I make sure I can quote chapters 1 to 8 together. After I memorize chapter 9 I make sure I can quote chapters 1 to 9 together. Originally I did not do this and I ended up memorizing a chapter, forgetting it, memorizing it a second time, forgetting it again, and finally memorizing it the third time. The second and third times were not much easier than the first time. This method may sound like it is slower, but I really believe that it is quicker and more efficient.
I hope this is helpful.
William
Will you put up the rest of Proverbs in smaller chunks like you did for chapters 1-3? I already have memorized some of the same books you have in this group with another group so don't plan to rememorize them here. I also have my own Isaiah group (though I don't have the entire book of Isaiah uploaded). The reason I joined this group was to memorize Proverbs, but I prefer smaller chunks (until I have memorized the whole thing very well). Thanks so much! BTW, what memory methods do you use?
I started my Bible memory work about the age of forty seven. If anyone is interested in memory methods I will be happy to discuss this.
My original purpose was to find people who have memorized or want to memorize an entire book of the Bible(A.V.) I have almost memorize Proverbs. My best quotation was 911 verses out of 915, not including punctuation. I memorized II Timothy, chapter 2. I have not quoted Proverbs much recently. I know that I need to get back to quoting the Proverbs, especially all 915 verses in one quotation without mistakes. After I finish this 40 times without mistakes(not including punctuation) I want to concentrate on salvation scriptures and/or new testament books.
