“But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine.” (Titus 2:1) [Harold of Light activity from the Bible Brigade]
I found myself 28 days overdue for review of Romans 8. with today’s review using all three avenues of review, I am pleasantly surprised and happy with how much I was able to recall from memory. I am encouraged to keep reviewing! May this encouragement spur you on also!
I should have said swiping to the right or to the left...
When reviewing a verse in a group of verses, swiping to the right can save a few steps in moving backward for forward to another scripture.
HOME>SETTINGS>PROFILE. At this location you can choose WEEKLY EMAIL REVIEW or DAILY EMAIL REVIEW. It is a very helpful reminder!
Handwriting the scriptures you are memorizing is a huge help! it has been a key to my success! the flash cards on this app are also effective.
DRAW! This is a great feature to use if you’re a visual learner. I think it could also be a good feature for kids, to help them find interest in this app!
FLASH CARDS! Another way to review! At My Verses, press and do a long hold on the verse/verses you want to review. A menu pops up; choose Flash Cards. The first flash card appears with the verse address; you recite the verse, then swipe to the left to turn the card over. Swipe to the right to repeat that verse again, or swipe to the left to move to the next verse. There is a little “I got it” at the lower right you can also click. How fun is that?!
Thank you, Brenda, for the lesson.... I will try it!
If you make a mistake when reviewing a verse, swipe to the left and start that verse again. It’s not cheating - we’re learning it!!
That’s wonderful, Shelly! Thank you for commenting! 😊.
Brenda, I too write the verses out... yes, it does help!
One thing that really helped me get started memorizing Romans 8 was using this app, but I also wrote out the verses by hand, everyday. it helps!
Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89
As you memorize, which verse(s) are you pondering today? For me, it’s verses 10-11 today.
I use the option of typing the first letter of each word in reviewing the verses. but sometimes I use texting shortcuts, which throws me into errors!! You know, such as a U instead of a Y for you....lol
Welcome! Let’s support and encourage each other as we memorize God’s Word together!
