For anyone who is interested in memorizing verses of God's promises for believers' children (and grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc!), I would like to invite you to join the group called "Promises for Believers' Kids." So for Isaiah 65:23-24, I might pray, "Lord, Your Word in Jeremiah 17:7-8 says that I am blessed because I trust in You. Therefore I claim the promises of the 'blessed of the Lord.' You say in Isaiah 65:23-24, 'They shall not labor in vain or bear children for calamity, for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the Lord, and their descendants with them. I had previously memorized this chapter, and I decided to "review" with this group. But all my previous memorization counts! It's a wonderful chapter that gives pleasure with every review! Thanks for the chance to join you, even at this late date.
JM- i use NIV 1984- I imported the verses and am still part of the group. Src- I just looked at the group and see what you mean about having more than 29 verses. in my case, I have individual verses, then have added groups of verses, like col 1:13-16 and the entire section I've learned, so it looks like I've learned more but actually I'm at verse 18. does that make sense?
There are 29 verses in Colossians 1 so how come the people at the top of the leader board have got 30 and 37 verses? Are they continuing in chapter 2? :)

I'm a bit frustrated. I just joined this group - my very first group and I cannot get the version I want onto my phone. I'm presently working from my desktop computer.
I can get the list of verses to show as NIV 1984 on the computer website but it is showing as ESV on my phone app. The phone is where I want to review my verses.
I could import them to my phone the way I have done all my others but then I wouldn't be in the group. Any suggestions?

Hi, ryanvda, have you found the verses yet? If not, try this: go to the group page, select the "Colossians 1" button, select NIV from the "Choose a Translation" drop-down menu (assuming you still want to use NIV instead of ESV), then "Select This Collection". The verses should be in your account now. You should be able to find them on your My Verses page under Memory Groups. Thanks for memorizing with us! it's good to have you in the group!

I am just starting today on the Colossians challenge for the summer. My wife has memorized a good portion of Colossians 1 in the past and I know it really pushed her forward--I am now going to catch up with her with God's help.
I've joined this Col 1 group but I dont seem to quite be able to work out how to start memorising it - the verses arent coming up in the same way as my other verses. Any help please? And can I change it from the ESV to NIV? Thanks for any help!
