Itโs not just a saurus, itโs THEsaurus!
i use a thesaurus a lot for school, otherwise i would have no idea what it was
I just recommended this to all my friends
My inner ChatGPT was going crazy there. So yes, I swallowed a thesaurus.
I will try to pick my writing up next week. Itโs so frustrating that I have so much to write and no way to get it out in a dedicated and orderly manner that would allow for optimal expression of these speculative ideas that make up this piece of my identity that I have been developing for over a quarter decade.
idkโฆ when iโm not busy
it would seem that he did btw hi also btw great awesome work on the story
alsoโฆ did you swallow a thesaurus??
Hold on, now I donโt, this is weird. Can you see about giving it back to me? Not saying I would be able to help in any way; I donโt know what I would be able to do with admin that would be beneficial to the development of this piece of fiction.
Wait, I got admin now, false alarm๐
Other than that, it is a good piece of the โslice of lifeโ genre.
The story needs more believable dialogue between characters, and you should prolly be bored when you write. Bored writers make better stories.
I donโt have admin powers on my end, but I donโt especially want them atm. If you rlly want to give them, then try again because it no works for me.
@matt, ohhhh, that makes sense now
Yes noah the storyteller ๐๐

Yes @Matt, I had to get used to having the posts at the top for a while. It took some getting used to.
I may or may not have some constructive criticism for you by the end of the week.

Hope swallowed her mouthful before answering. โSorry, Mom. Hey, where is Dad?โ โHe was called into work early this morning. He wonโt be back until late.โ โOh okay.โ Hope polished off her bowl of cereal and loaded it into the dishwasher. โIโm gonna get to school early Mom, Angela and I need to finish our school project.โ Mrs. Grayson smiled. โYes, of course. I love your dedication to your work, especially because I know how much you hate being indoors.โ Hope smiled back. โThanks, Mom. Iโll see you later.โ She ran upstairs to grab her bag and shoes then ran back down. โBye Mom, bye JJ!โ โHave a good day, honey!โ โBah!โ was JJโs reply before Hope slammed the front door and set off down the street in the direction of Chester High.
Now awake, Hope crawled out from under the covers and stretched. She then jumped through the shower, the water as cold as she could bear without turning her into a block of ice. She slipped on her school uniform and braided her hair into a single braid down her back. Then, after checking herself in the mirror, she went downstairs for some breakfast. In the kitchen, her mother was cooking some eggs for her sixteen-year-old brother Jay, who was perched at their breakfast bar. โHey sis,โ Jay grinned. โWant some eggs?โ Hope crinkled her nose. โNo thank you, Jay-Jay. Iโll pass.โ She grabbed a box of cereal and poured herself a bowl. Jay frowned. โI told you not to call me that.โ โWhatโs wrong, JJ? I was just using your name.โ said Hope innocently. Jay shot her a look then buried his face in his eggs. โMorning Mom,โ Hope smiled at her mother. Mrs Grayson was a sweet woman, getting on in her years but still retaining her youthful beauty. โGood morning darling. Do you want a ride to school this morning?โ โMm, naw. Iโll walk, but thanks anyways,โ Hope said through a mouthful of cereal. โMind your manners, Hopey. Your father and I raised you better than that.โ
CHAPTER 1a 7:08 a.m. July 5th. 26 Jackson Road, Chesterton, South Dakota. Hope awoke to the sound of her radio. The weathermanโs voice squeaked from the tiny speakers, rambling on about some hurricane in the South Pacific while she struggled out of her unconscious haze. She peeked out from between her eyelids and was met with bright sunlight streaming through her window, penetrating the fabric of her curtain and pushing through to warm the little bedroom. Hope yawned and sat up. Today was one week until summer break, and she couldnโt wait for school to be out. She hated the feeling of sitting in a chair in a hot, stuffy classroom while outside nature was calling her out. She much preferred sports to books, climbing trees to writing, and swimming to algebra and english. Not to mention all the drama among her classmates, and somehow Hope was the one who people turned to to fix their problems. Every friend group needs a therapist, and for some reason that therapist was Hope. Maybe because she was great at pretending to be sympathetic, or her lack of judgment. Nevertheless, every day Hope was faced with a dilemma that everyone expected her to fix.
I can't wait to read more of your story and see what happens next though!!!

Mr. Greeves took the flower from his wife. โIโve never seen one of these before, even when I was cleaning out the coops.โ โNeither have I.โ She replied. โAnna said she found them in the chicken field.โ โIโll go have a look now,โ Mr. Greeves went over to his boots by the door and slipped them on. โThen when I go into town next week to drop off the next load of eggs, Iโll go to the library and do a bit of research as to what this flower is.โ Little did Mr. Greeves know that he wouldnโt get to town the following week, he wouldnโt deliver the next shipment of eggs, and he wouldnโt get to the library to research this mysterious flower.
