I personally believe that man is a soul not a soul as a spiritual body but as a human being
So do you believe in a soul, or not? Our souls shall die without Christ and are only saved through him
I found this verse pretty interesting: Ezekiel 18:4 4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. and then you have the verse in Romans 3:23 which says that “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” so since we all have sinned that would mean that our “soul” shall die
according to 1 Timothy 6:16 only God is immortal

According to your doctrines, our souls wouldn’t exist during soul-sleep. This would mean that we would have to be re-created in the spiritual sense. I don’t believe that in any sense. While our bodies may be dormant after death until the return of Christ, the soul lives on through Christ’s eternal power.
Ohohokay. God created us and our souls and breathed life into them. When we die, our souls are returned to Christ as he creates them and they are a part of everything he created. If we go into some sort of soul-sleep as SDA-ism suggests, God would have to recreate our souls from nothing.
I’m not very good at debating tho I enjoy seeing different ppls perspectives

In Ecclesiastes 12.7 the word "spirt" in Hebrew can also be translated as breath or wind. In genesis 2.7 it says that when God "breathed" into man the "breath of life" he became a living soul. So the breath is different than a soul, and in fact man is a soul. Not a soul as some spiritual body but as a human being. Hope this helps 🙂

well we believe that when someone dies that person is in a "sleep" until the restriction. see psalms 115:17, acts 2:29,34, and John 11: 23,24

This is why SDA-ism is a cult like Mormonism. Those people have their own Book of Mormon that they have in addition to the Bible. And don’t even get me started on the Catholics.

Seventh Day Adventism states that God will have all Christians switch to SDA-ism or they will be cast from Christ.
That’s about sinners keeping God’s law in our fallible state. As we have said, the subject of the debate is not whether or not it’s okay to disobey God’s law, but whether Saturday is really the early Church worshipped on.
well what about James 2:10, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
If you want to worship on Saturday, fine. The only point I disagree is that all Christians must switch to Saturday worship in the end times.
Exactly, I don’t care which day of the week other people worship on too much because I don’t believe God will use that as any determining factor on Judgement Day.

Yeah the Catholic church is corrupt and has a lot of rules like the Pharisees did. But I believe that the apostles worshiped Jesus on their first day of the week.

BTW Ellen White was not the first to worship on Saturday. there were seventh day baptists, seventh day pentecostals and even seventh day Catholics!

well that's a lot to digest. 😆 it would seem that such a thing could happen but then the Jewish people still use the same calendar, but I see your point. When the king of Tonga changed the the date line some years ago, SDAs worshipped on Sunday to keep to the "real" seventh day...confusing I reckon but OK.
