@Zachary I didn't take it but my sister did. I might do the Bible bee next year. It's just hard 'cause I also have to balance school, chores, family time, friends, and a bunch of other activities so it's difficult. We find out in a litter over an hour who gets in!

@Zachary I'm taking the test Sunday afternoon, that way I can have more time to study but I still have an extra day to contact BBHQ in case anything goes wrong during the test. Are you trying to make Nationals this year? Have you been to Nationals before?
I also feel like I should just hurry up and get it over with. Is that how you feel?
Maybe. Maybe you will try to get to nationals next year. @June, that's how I feel. I feel like I could always learn more, so I am not going to take the test until either Sunday or Monday. How about you?
@Zachary; I did the summer study this year but I'm not going to Nationals. But my sister Abby is studying for nationals so she always feels like she's not ready enough! But, maybe if she gets in you'll meet her down in TX!

Hi Sasha! I'm Nora White's sister. I'd be happy to answer your questions about the Bible Bee! You asked how many summer study memory verses there are. There are 59 memory verses total that you're supposed to memorize. In answer to your second question on whether you should memorize the Cross references, well, it all depends. If you are trying to make it to Nationals, then you most certainly should memorize the Cross references. I believe that about 35% of the questions will be on Cross references. If you aren't taking the test or trying to get to Nationals, then you can memorize the Cross references if you want to, but you don't have to. For your 3rd question you asked if you need to memorize the early release passages. At this point you don't absolutely have to. If you want to do Nationals and you have time to memorize your early release passages, well then you can do that if you want. If you aren't trying to go to Nationals, then you don't need to do the early release passages. Please let me know if you have any other questions; I'd love to answer them to the best of my ability! Remember that whatever study you do, that it isn't for nothing! The more we study God's Word, the more we can know Him and make Him known! Also, I encourage you to apply what you learn from God's Word to your life. The true reward of doing the Bible Bee isn't when we win the competition, it is when we allow God to use the knowledge of His Word to shape us more into who He wants us to be! @Name, Sadly, yes, it is too late to join bible bee. We are already on the last week of the summer study. The summer study started in June, and the test for nationals is somewhere in August. The summer study is eight weeks long. Then we take the test, Wait for the answer, and then whoever got to nationals goes to a church... i forgot the name... where Bible bee nationals is being held. The national competition test is taken on the second day. Then you wait for answers to see who got in numbers 15 and under. Then those 15 compete in semi-finals on the third day. Then on the fourth day of the winners of the 15, Those 5 compete for a prize of, primary's $1,000 or more, Juniors' $3,000 or more, and senior's $5,000 or more.Then the winners have beat everyone else in the whole country in Bible bee.
I have not joined bible bee
So I was thinking of joining the Bible Bee (I would be joining the senior division) but am having trouble finding out what I am supposed to do. Is it too late to join it this year? I was also wondering what verses that the senior division has to memorize this year. Any help you guys could offer would be appreciated :)
