Welcome to Mount Calvary Baptist Church’s Catechism. This has been a great blessing to me by helping me to be established in what the Bible teaches on key doctrines and has helped me to be established in my interpretation of the passages I memorize. First off, you will notice that 1 Chronicles 1:1 in this list doesn’t read the same as any other translation. And that most any other Bible doesn’t include 91 verses within this chapter. That’s because I utilized this chapter for the Catechism. I hope this does not offend you. I chose it because I felt certain that I am not likely to memorize any of these verses due to the fact that it is a list of names, not that it is not valuable in itself or that it is less inspired than the Catechism. That certainly is not true. It was totally a utilitarian choice. How I organize the Catechism is by roughly working seven per day: 1-7 day one, 7-14 day two, and so on. By doing this, I end up reviewing all 91 in two weeks with one day break. I have start with the first seven on Friday so that certain ones will fall on the Lord’s Day. I hope this is useful.
