I have to read Julius Caesar next year for school. It's spelled C-a-e-s-a-r, by the way. My Bible reading has been in 2 Chronicles.
I’m reading psalm and I have 43 chapters left before I’ve read the whole bible TWICE and I’m not reading anything else at the moment
I am reading through Jeremiah and not in the Bible rangers apprentice book 9
I am reading the book of Revelation and not in the Bible I am reading Julius Ceaser
what is everyone reading right now? in the Bible and not in the Bible?
I feel the same way!!! y'all encourage me in so many ways to keep fighting for my faith!
so happy to have you all in this group. you’ve all been an encouragement to me. thanks for loving Jesus!! 🥰
Good morning everyone! My family and I have been going through a lot lately, and I could really use some prayer. Thank you! ❤️
my mom’s dad died a few years ago and we were really really close to him.
lol, I have strong relationships with my family except for my Mom’s dad
it isn’t wonderful but it isn’t bad either.
I agree. we have an unbelieving aunt and we have a wonderful relationship with her. which is a blessing.
yeah that’s a good connection. for me, i feel like it is saying that those who follow Jesus will be set apart from those who don’t, even family members. it’s like when Jesus told his disciples in Mark 3:33-35 “And he answered them, "Who are my mother and my brothers?" And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother." And in Luke 14:26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.” I don’t think the Lord wants us to leave these people on their own, but He does want us to love Him first. (1st commandment basically)
how Ruth stayed loyal to Naomi while her other daughter-in-law left her. I kind of wonder what it would have been like if the other daughter-in-law had stayed with Naomi
I don’t think so but it reminds me of the story of Ruth.
isn’t that an interesting verse! I’ve seen it happen in my own family though. have you experienced any of this?
34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— 36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[c] Matthew 10:34-36
thanks for sharing SoundWave! I am in great need to learning to die to myself once again and live in the Spirit. the Lord is so worthy of this and so much more. (Lord help us to commit our ways to You. For You, O God and Creator of all things, have woven us in our mothers womb. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, Lord, because we are made in Your image. We know that without You, Christ, there is no salvation. Lead us to the cross daily to repent of our sinful nature and to hold fast to You, clinging to Your robes for healing and peace and all things good. Lord Jesus, what You have done for us is so profound that, at times, I’m incapable of truly understand why or how. But none of that matters Lord because You are a God of promises and You keep your promises to Your children. We have been grafted into Your family and we praise You for it! Lord, You are Holy! Your ways are perfect! Let us be imitators of Christ so that we may lead others to You. Use us as instruments of Your kingdom, providing us with Your courage to speak and wisdom to be silent. Bless You Lord, for You are good. In Jesus name, Amen!)
I AM ACTUALLY WORKING ON MEMORIZING ROMANS 8!
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.fn 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set youfn free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin,fn he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
👍🏼 Good morning church fam! 🥰 I was reading the Psalms this morning and came across these verses: Psalm 111:1 - Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. I heard God telling me to praise Him wholeheartedly even when others are watching! Lift your hands to Him in praise and don’t be afraid; it pleases Him. The other verse is Psalm 116:1-2; I love the Lord because He has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because He inclines His ear to me, therefore I will call on Him as long as I live. Thank You Lord that You inclines your ear to us and hear our voices and pleas for mercy! Amen!
thanks for sharing! I will listen to it when I get a chance.
I wanted to share an album with you all by Fernando Ortega. if you haven’t heard of him, go check him out. The album is called “The Crucifixion of Jesus” and it moves me to tears every time I listen to it straight through. Anything by Fernando is good though! ☺️
So awesome! I remember that feeling! 😁 Excitement for something fresh and new, a great smile, lol. Praying all goes well and that you feel peace about your new smile. 🙌🏼 Thanks for sharing!
yes! also be praying for me. I am getting my braces off in26 hours!!!
Good morning everyone! I didn’t check in yesterday, but today I am praying that each of you are faithful in your walk with the Lord because He is abounding in faithfulness and He is worthy! 🙌🏼
Good evening all! I only check in when I do my verses and usually come to encourage other brothers and sisters! Most often I like to let to Holy Spirit lead, and I don’t feel led to say anything in particular tonight except for goodnight and God bless!
The Lord proclaimed these things about himself: merciful, gracious, slow to anger, ABOUNDING in steadfast love AND faithfulness, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin, but will (by no means) clear the guilty! let us not be guilty! our sins have been atoned for! Our righteous Father in Heaven has sent His Son Jesus, our Messiah, to die for us, to redeem us and to make a way for us to be in relationship with God our Father! Amen!
Good morning and Happy Friday! The Lord is good and more than worthy of our time! Sing your praise to the Lord!
